Hero Call from Di Meglio Sends Ticherfatine to the Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With the board reading J855J and about 20,000 already in the middle, Mathieu Di Meglio had bet 17,500 in position only for Cecile Ticherfatine to move all in for approximately 35,000, sending Di Meglio into the tank.

After about two minutes Di Meglio flicked in the call. Ticherfatine revealed 22 and was playing the board after her pocket pair was counterfeited. Mathieu Di Meglio tabled Q10 for just a queen kicker to the two pair that was on the board, which was enough to take the pot down and eliminate Ticherfatine.

Bouvier Unphased After Taking Small Hit

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Florian Espiasse opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and Michael Bouvier defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the 772 flop leading to the A on the turn. Bouvier bet 2,600 and Espiasse made the call.

Bouvier slowed down with a check on the Q river and Espiasse bet 6,500. Bouvier made the call.

Espiasse tabled AJ for a flush which was good enough to take the pot down.

Despite losing the pot, Bouvier is still sitting on one of the largest stacks in the room, worth just over 250,000.

Max Pressure from Benjelloun

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Akan Kaya limped in from the hijack as did Othman Benjelloun on the button and "Marijo" in the small blind. Ali Boulid checked in the big blind.

Action checked around to Benjelloun, who bet 3,000 on the A54 flop. Both "Marijo" and Boulid called while Kaya opted to fold.

On the Q turn action again checked to Benjelloun, who bet 8,100. "Marijo" called and Boulid folded.

"Marijo" lead with a 23,000 bet on the 7 river. Benjelloun pushed forward a stack of red T5,000 chips, raising it to 100,000. After about one minute of consideration "Marijo" folded and Benjelloun took down a sizable pot without showdown.

Shortly after this hand Boulid was eliminated. Reda Benjelloun was also recently eliminated at another table.

Ticherfatine Hits Perfect River Card

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Viet Phung opened to 1,200 from middle position and Cecile Ticherfatine moved all in for her last 6,000 from the hijack. Phung made the call with a covering stack.

Cecile Ticherfatine: A6
Viet Phung: K10

The flop came KJ10 giving Phung two pair. The J turn changed nothing and Ticherfatine began getting up from her seat but the Q on the river gave her a straight and subsequently a full double up.

Elsewhere in the tournament area, Masbah Ben Baba and Francesco Pillitteri were both recently eliminated.

Benjelloun Triumphs in Multiway Action

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Reda Benjelloun opened to 2,400 from under the gun and received calls from Samy Hamou in middle position, Aurelie Reard in the hijack, Robin Graffouillere in the cutoff and Hafid Kinany Alaoui in the small blind.

The flop came 875 and action checked around to Reard who bet 3,500. Graffouillere and Hamou got out of the way while both Benjelloun and Alaoui made the call.

The three remaining players checked both the J turn and 10 river. Alaoui tabled A5 for a pair of fives but Benjelloun revealed 1010 for a rivered set and both Alaoui and Reard mucked their hands.
