The remaining 32 players have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break. Action will pick back up in real-time at approximately 7:20 p.m. local time. Updates will be on a delay, resuming at about 8 p.m.
In the last hand before dinner break, Alex Foxen checked in the big blind on a flop of 3♣2♥3♦ and Sosia Jiang bet 150,000 on the button. Foxen check-raised to 350,000 and Jiang called.
Foxen bet 345,000 on the 5♣ turn and Jiang called. Foxen then sized down to 170,000 on the J♣ river and Jiang used a time bank before calling.
Foxen showed 5♠4♣ for a pair of fives but couldn't beat the trips of his opponent with K♠3♠ .
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised from under the gun with 9♠9♣, before Kannapong Thanarattrakul three-bet to 325,000 from middle position. It then folded to Sinan Unlu in the small blind, and he four-bet all in for his stack of 2,940,000. Once the big blind folded, Ponakovs folded as well, and Thanarattrakul made the call to put Unlu at risk.
Sinan Unlu: A♦K♥
Kannapong Thanarattrakul: K♦K♣
It was a cooler for Unlu, who jammed into the pocket kings of Thanarattrakul. However, the J♦10♥Q♦ flop turned things around quickly, as Unlu flopped the nuts with a Broadway straight. The J♣ on the turn gave Thanarattrakul an out to win the pot, to go along with his chop outs. But the 7♦ on the river was no help, and Unlu secured a massive double up.
Elton Tsang opened to 160,000 in middle position and Artur Martirosian three-bet to 400,000 in the cutoff. Tsang responded with a four-bet jam as the action got back around and Martirosian quickly folded.
Tsang had a rail of supporters as the hand went down and they said they brought him good luck.
Punnat Punsri raised to 165,000 from the hijack, and after it folded to David Yan on the button, he three-bet all in for his stack of 1,095,000. It folded back to Punsri who called to put Yan at risk.
David Yan: 9♠9♥
Punnat Punsri: Q♥Q♦
Yan ran into the queens of Punsri, and once the board ran out 10♥K♦J♥A♥5♣ Punsri improved to a Broadway straight to knock out Yan.
Kayhan Mokri raised from under the gun to 175,000, before Daniel Dvoress three-bet all in for 1,400,000. It folded back to Mokri who made the call to put Dvoress at risk.
Daniel Dvoress: A♣K♠
Kayhan Mokri: A♦Q♠
Dvoress had Mokri dominated, and the board ran out clean after it came J♣5♠6♣5♣3♣ to give Dvoress the double up with his ace-king high.
Justin Bonomo was all in for around 600,000 in the hijack against Mikita Badziakouski in the cutoff.
Justin Bonomo: K♥10♠
Mikita Badziakouski: A♦9♠
Bonomo pulled ahead as the board ran out J♣4♠10♥Q♥5♣ to earn him a double.
Taylor von Kriegenbergh raised from early position to 160,000, and it then folded to Sean Winter in the small blind, who three-bet all in for his stack of 1,515,000. Once the big blind folded, Von Kriegenbergh gave it some thought, before making the call to put Winter at risk.
Sean Winter: 5♦5♣
Taylor von Kriegenbergh: A♦Q♣
It was a massive flip for Winter's tournament life, but the board ran out 2♣A♣K♦K♥7♠ to give Von Kriegenbergh the pot with his two pair, aces and kings, to eliminate Winter.
