Lin Takes Down the "Lady Gaga" in Massive Pot

Around 5,000,000 was already in the pot as Ren Lin and Dmitrii Prusov went to the turn on a board of 6864. Lin then bet 2,000,000 from under the gun, Prusov moved all in for 5,500,000 in the hijack, and Lin snap-called.

Prusov turned over QQ, but Lin showed AA. The A fell on the river to improve Lin to a full house and send Prusov to the rail.

"Wow, how do you do it?" tablemate Eric Yanovsky said as Lin raked in the massive pot.

Diego Ventura four-bet to 2,300,000 from the cutoff and the action folded back to Petrangelo who five-bet shoved all in. Ventura sigh-called off his stack of around 7,800,000 and the cards were on their backs.

It was a massive preflop cooler that Petrangelo found himself on the right side of for the time being. The board ran out Q962J and Ventura was eliminated, putting Petrangelo among the leaders.

At the same time at another table, John Ripnick also put in 1,900,000 from the button and Pablo Melogno shoved in early position. Ripnick took a minute before calling off the rest of his remaining few chips.

Ermo Kosk raised to 450,000 in middle position and David Kaufmann reraised to 2,100,000 in the big blind, leaving himself around 200,000 behind. Kosk then moved all in and Kaufmann spent a few moments looking at the tournament clock before calling.

Kaufmann was racing for his tournament life and saw the J fall in the window to give him a pair, followed by the J. But they were accompanied by the 10 as Kosk spiked a full house.

"I liked the window card, at least," Kaufmann said as the board ran out 23 to send him to the rail.

"Now I hope nobody busts in the next 30 seconds," Kaufmann said as he just missed a pay jump.

"I'm using all my time banks, that's for sure," tablemate Chris Moneymaker added.

"I haven't used one. I'm saving them for the next one," Matt Glantz said.

Brewer showed 98 for two pair, while Chen had AK. The river was the A and Chen improved to a better two pair to send Brewer to the rail.

"I was really hoping you had ace-king there," Brewer said on his way to collect his payout.

"Nice hand. The hand played itself," tablemate Nick Maimone said to Chen.

"Lucky," Chen replied.
