Salter Pips Mobarekeh

Level 5 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Maksym Sheingart opened to 16,000 from under the gun, and Roy Salter made the call in the cutoff. Houshang Mobarekeh then moved all in from the small blind, and only Salter called.

Heinz Heroes With a Set, Gets Sent to Rail

Level 5 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Quirin Heinz was put in a tough spot in a heads-up pot against Ferenc Deak on a board of 5QJ98.

With around 200,000 already in the pot, Deak moved all in to put Heinz to the test for his remaining 430,000. Heinz used the majority of his time banks, then called.

Deak showed the goods with K10 for the second nut flush, while Heinz was forced to show 55 for a no-good set before hitting the rail.

Lambrecht Forces Out Broda

Level 5 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Matthew Lambrecht raised to 20,000 in the hijack, finding a call from Richard Broda in the big blind. Both players declined to bet the 22A flop, and Broda checked again on the 9 turn.

Lambrecht followed with a check, and the J river completed the board. Broda checked again, and Lambrecht counted out a bet of 30,000.

That was enough to secure the small pot, as Broda let his hand go.

Zlotnikov Three-Bets Reijmer

Level 5 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daniel Reijmer opened to 22,000 on the button and Anatoly Zlotnikov three-bet to 71,000 in the small blind. Reijmer called.

Zlotnikov sized down to 28,000 on the flop of 37K and Reijmer called. Both players then checked on the 8 turn.

Zlotnikov bet 184,000 on the 8 river and Reijmer laid it down.

Fortin-Demers Building Higher

Level 5 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tobias Hausen opened to 18,000 in middle position, and Alex Fortin-Demers called on the button. Christophe Sanchez defended his big blind, and the 85A flop hit the felt.

Action checked around, and the 7 turn was revealed. Sanchez and Hausen checked again, with Fortin-Demers sliding out a bet of 35,000.

That produced folds from both Sanchez and Hausen. After being among the top stacks at the last break, Fortin-Demers continued to add more chips to his stack.

'Poker Isn't Everything': Why Champ Espen Jorstad Skipped This Summer's WSOP

After winning the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for $10 million, longtime poker pro Espen Jorstad dove headfirst into the world of Super High Rollers, traveling the high-stakes circuit from Cyprus to South Korea and firing $100,000 and $200,000 buy-in events.

But the two-time bracelet winner took a step back this year from the game he's played since 2004, skipping this summer's WSOP in Las Vegas to focus on the finer things in life: meditation, mental health and connection with others.

"I didn't play much poker (this year)," the Norwegian told PokerNews. "Poker has kind of been an all-in adventure for a lot of years now. And it was nice to take some time off and ... work on myself a little bit more, just focus on health, fitness, relationships."

Yanovsky flipped his way to safety through the 398210 runout, improving to a set on the river and doubling up through Delval.

On the next hand, Anthony Hughes opened to 20,000 from under the gun and was promptly three-bet to 56,000 by Justin Vaysman on his immediate left.

Hughes answered with a four-bet to 165,000, producing a fold from Vaysman to claim the pot.
