Here are the largest Day 1a counts, according to the latest WSOP+ app update during the break.
In the 928th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by Mike Holtz and Ben Ludlow at Level 9 Studios to talk about the SWAT team raid of a low-stakes poker game in Sweden. Find out what caused armed authorities, supported by drones and even a helicopter, to raise the $100 buy-in poker tournament.
The trio then discusses the physical altercation between Maurice Hawkins and a player known as "Eugene" in a Florida home game. Was Maurice running his mouth? Was it an unprovoked attack? Not only do you get to hear about what happened, but you can see some video clips of the scuffle itself.
Other topics covered are Daniel Negreanu's post on players that learn via solvers versus those who do their "own thing," where Michael Addamo falls in that conversation, and PokerNews being named the official live reporting partner for the 2026 Aussie Millions. Plus, a look ahead to the WSOP Paradise, WPT World Championship & EPT Prague underway, and given that Jonathan Little is coming out with a new book, we thought it'd be a good time for another giveaway. It's your chance to win a copy of Little's book 100 Essential Tips. Visit dandbpoker.com to preorder Jonathan Little's new book.

Players have been sent on a 20-minute break with the clocks showing 684 runners so far.
Here are some highlights from the previous level:
Tymofii Savkin raised from under the gun and Nikolaos Paraschos three-bet on the button. Savkin four-bet to 86,000 and Paraschos called.
Savkin continued for 90,000 on the flop of 3♥7♣2♠ and Paraschos called. Savkin then sized up to 250,000 on the 8♦ turn and Savkin laid it down.
Yuan Lei raised to 12,000 from under the gun, and Damir Zhugralin came along in the big blind. Zhugralin checked the 9♥J♣10♥ flop, making the call after Lei contiued for 8,000.
Another check from Zhugralin followed the 4♦ turn, and Lei slid out a bet of 50,000.
That produced a quick fold from Zhugralin, allowing Lei to claim the pot.
Jon Kyte checked the 9♣10♠4♣ flop from middle position, and Alex Livingston slid out a bet of 27,000 from the cutoff. The call was made, and Kyte checked again on the 3♣ turn.
Livingston took a moment before firing 75,000, and Kyte called once more. Another check from Kyte followed the 5♥ river.
Livingston tossed out 300,000, an effective all in asking for the rest of Kyte's stack. Kyte picked up his time bank cards and slid them all forward before going into the tank.
After his last time bank card was taken by the dealer, Kyte stuck in the rest of his stack. Livingston showed Q♣5♣ for a flush, and Kyte tapped the table while turning over A♠K♦ on his way to the rail.
