Shin continued for 6,000 on the KK6 flop, and only Paticchio called. Shin then check-folded to a bet of 15,000 on the K turn.

Daehyung Lee opened to 5,000 from the hijack before Matheus Lima made it 22,000 from the cutoff. Aaron Mermelstein, in the big blind, had the dealer confirm the action, and then four-bet to 60,000. Lee and Lima quickly folded.

Pascal LeFrancois raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, with Martin Sgrilletti making the call in the small blind. Carlos Serrano came along in the big blind, and the 873 flop was fanned out.

All three players checked to the K turn, where Sgrilletti and Serrano checked once more. LeFrancois slid out a bet of 7,000, with only Sgrilletti calling to see the J river.

Sgrilletti checked one last time, folding instantly when LeFrancois fired 24,000 into the middle.

Michael Loncar opened to 5,000 from under the gun and was called by Theodore McQuilkin from the cutoff.

McQuilkin called for 5,000 on the flop, before the turn checked through to the river where the board read A8553.

Loncar check-folded to a bet of 18,000.

Pedro Marques opened in middle position and was called by Igor Tregoubov on the button and Danesh Luthera in the small blind.

Marques continued for 8,000 on the flop of 37J and Tregoubov called before Luthera check-raised to 21,000. Only Marques called.

Both players checked on the A turn and 10 river as Luthera showed 99 to lose out to the KJ of Marques.

Just before the hand, cash game superstar Phil Laak joined the table and was greet by a star-struck Luthera.

"I used to watch you on TV! You played with Negreanu, Ivey, all of them!"

Becher Wins Three-Bet Pot

Day 2a bubble boy Daniel Becher opened to 4,000 second to act and called when Oihan Abarzuza made it 15,000 from the cutoff.

The 1087 flop checked through to the J turn. Becher bet 22,000 and was called.

The 5 river checked through to showdown, where Becher's QJ was best.

Kirichenko Raises Drummond

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Aleksandr Kirichenko raised to 6,000 on the button, with Paulo Drummond sliding out a three-bet to 17,000 in the smal blind. Kirichenko called, and the A86 flop was revealed.

Drummond led out for 8,000, and Kirichenko called again. Another lead from Drummond followed the 9 turn, this time for 17,000.

Kirichenko answered with a raise to 77,000, taking down the pot as Drummond let his hand go.
