Wasnock Fades Disaster

Level 17 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

There was an early position open to 160,000 and John Wasnock three-bet jammed a stack of around 2,000,000 from the next seat. Juan Pardo called in the small blind and the initial raiser got out of the way.

John Wasnock: AK All in
Juan Pardo: AK

Both players had the same hand and the flop of 833 was innocent enough. However, the 5 turn gave Pardo a flush draw, but the 5 river then bricked off to avoid a disaster for the 2025 Main Event runner-up.

Mamaev Folds Ace-King Face Up

Level 17 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Juan Pardo opened from under the gun with a raise to 160,000, which was called by Dennys Ramos in the cutoff. It then folded to the big blind Anton Mamaev, who three-bet to 775,000.

Pardo responded with a four-bet all-in for his stack of 3,700,000. That got Ramos to muck, and Mamaev went into the tank. After using two-time extensions, Mamaev folded AK face up, to give the pot to Pardo.
