Linard Strikes Gold to Take Commanding Lead

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Louis Linard
Louis Linard

Hand 1

Perez was all in and at risk for 205,000 with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Djamel Ouaret put him at risk with the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and the Spaniard doubled.

Hand 2

Louis Linard opened to 26,000 from under the gun and was called by Perez in the cutoff and Tsunamy on the button. Ouaret shoved the small blind for 20 big blinds and Daniel reshoved out of the big blind. Linard gave it some thought and called while Perez and Tsunamy folded.

Djamel Ouaret: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Daniel: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Louis Linard: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

"Diamonds?" Daniel asked and the flop of {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was indeed a big sweat. However, the {10-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river bricked off to see Ouaret and Daniel out in 23rd respectively 22nd place. Linard's stack skyrocketed to 1.8 million and the Frenchman won his second three-way all in of the way to take the lead.

Farag Busts to Burban

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The three tables were barely set and Fadhil Farag shoved for his last 80,000 with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. He was called by Pierrick Burban from one seat over with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and three diamonds on the flop left Farag with little hope. Neither the turn or the river were a nine and Farag was eliminated in 24th place.

Dja Daouadji Doubles; Busts Next Hand

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

"That was the best hand I had for hours," Belmehel Dja Daouadji after he just doubled through Smain Mamouni for his last 122,000 after three-bet shoving the small blind.

Belmehel Dja Daouadji: {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Smain Mamouni: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The board came {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Dja Daouadji doubled.

One hand later, Cedric D raised from under the gun and Dja Daouadji shoved the button. Cedric D took quite some time before calling, which saw some of the players raise their eyebrows when the showdown took place.

Belmehel Dja Daouadji: {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Cedric D: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Spades}{A-Diamonds} saw Dja Daouadji run out of chips, while Cedric D received some comments with regards to a potential "slow roll."

All remaining 24 players will now redraw to the last three tables.

Emile Carette Eliminated

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Emile Carette
Emile Carette

Emile Carette held the third-biggest stack going into the dinner break, but fewer than 90 minutes later that has vanished to zero.

Anthony Cruz raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Vincent Mansour called onm the button, Carette shoved the small blind for 367,000. Louis Linard over-shoved from the big blind for 441,000 and Cruz quickly let go. Mansour also folded, mentioning in table chat he had ace-jack.

Emile Carette: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Louis Linard: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

"Ahh, kings," Mansour said and the board came {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Both stacks were checked and Carette was indeed covered to join the rail in 26th place.

Laudicina Sent to the Rail

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Alexandra Laudicina (left) has been eliminated
Alexandra Laudicina (left) has been eliminated

Two action hands in a row saw Alexandra Laudicina bust and Damien Lhommeau rake in a three-bet pot.

The cards were all but rushed away and Laudicina headed to the payout desk, while Pierre Barthelemy and Cedric D were kind enough to provide the details. Cedric D had raised to 30,000 in the hijack and Laudicina called on the button. On the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, both players checked and Cedric D shoved the {Q-} turn with {A-}{10-} for two pair. Laudicina called for her last 95,000 with {Q-}{J-} for middle pair and a gutshot, and the river bricked off.

Then, Tsunamy raised to 27,000 in the hijack and Lhommeau three-bet to 68,000 on the button. The flop came {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Tsunamy's check was met with a bet of the very same sizing by Lhommeau, 68,000, which shut down all further action.

Aces for Leibgorin

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Anthony Cruz boosted his stack through several small hands and also claimed the big blind of Djamel Ouaret. The latter only gave it brief consideration before folding and was shown {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Over on table two, Fernando Pons bet the {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} turn for 18,000 and Michel Leibgorin raised to 60,000. Pons folded and the Frenchman flashed {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}.

Jos Busts to Cruz

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Anthony Cruz open-shoved the small blind for effectively 16 big blinds, as that's what Jos from Spain in the big blind had left. Jos called and the cards were turned over.

Jos: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Anthony Cruz: {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop of {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} gave Cruz two pair and Jos had a gutshot. Both the {4-Clubs} turn and {8-Spades} river were no help for the Spaniard and he bowed out in 28th place.

Pons Doubles Through Perez

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Perez opened the action with a raise to 23,000 and Fernando Pons moved all in for just over 20 big blinds. Perez gave it some thought and called for just shy of half the stack.

Fernando Pons: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Perez: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

While the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Spades} flop gave Perez the lead, that changed on the {10-Hearts} turn and Perez was in need of a jack to avoid a setback. The blank {7-Hearts} river was of no help and the 2016 November Niner doubled.
