We just walked past Allen Kessler to see him sitting with significantly more chips than he had just a moment ago.
"Some guy just gifted me his whole stack," Kessler informed us.
Kessler was the preflop reraiser, and his opponent came along to see a queen-high flop. When Kessler bet, his opponent made a big all-in shove with queen-ten. But The Chainsaw's two aces were the best, and they held fast as the turn and river brought a blank apiece.

It had been a while since we'd had eyes on Scott Clements, and we feared for a moment that he might be busto. But that's not the case. His table was broken a while back, and Clements traded in his black sweatshirt for a bright red T-shirt, sitting incognito for a bit before we stumbled back across him. And he was involved in a pot.
Clements was the under-the-gun raiser, making it 1,300 to go. He found three calls before an opponent squeezed all in for 11,300 total. Clements called the extra 10,000, the other three ducked out, and he was heads-up for the knockout.
Showdown
Clements:

Opponent:

The board ran out
, and that was safe for the queens. Clements has earned himself a knockout, chipping up just over 45,000 in the process.

From under the gun Ron McMillen opened to 1,350 and Dennis Phillips re-raised to 3,500 a couple seats behind him. Action folded back around to McMillen and he called after some short thought.
The flop came
, McMillen checked and Phillips moved all in. McMillen tanked and was having a hard time coming to a decision. "I should have never just called the 3,500..." he mumbled.
He flashed the
and claimed to have another a queen - but never showed it. Phillips quietly dragged the pot, never giving McMillen any assurance.

We missed the hand that ended his day, but we've lost another former WSOPC Main Event Champion. Huy Nguyen took down the $1,600 event in Choctaw last season, and he's since added to his WSOPC stat sheet with a handful of other wins and final tables.
He'll have to wait for the evening session to try and amass a chip stack now, as he's run through his first bullet in the span of six levels.

A player in middle position opened to 1,125, and Chris Bell three-bet to 3,175 on the button. The raiser asked how much he was playing (about 40,000 behind), then made the call. Bell had the much bigger of the two stacks as the dealer spread out a
flop. When the raiser checked, Bell put out a covering stack of gray chips. His opponent had about 11,000 chips left, and he quickly double-checked his cards before surrendering them into the muck.
Bell is up around 45,000 now, and his positional disadvantage against Kevin Saul has not been much of a factor yet, as far as we've seen. They're both comfortably above the chip average at the moment.
