El Otmani Doubles

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a flop of {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}, Houcine El Otmani was all in for his last 9,000 chips and got called by an opponent with {J-Spades} {2-Spades}. El Otmani held {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and the {J-Diamonds} turn was no good for the Moroccan. However, the dealer burned and turned the {6-Clubs} river and that provided a flush for El Otmani to stay in the tournament.

Jenner Busts to Ederoua

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a raise to 2,000 by El Mostafa Ederoua, [Removed:253] as well as two other players called to see a flop of {Q-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. Ederoua continued with a bet of 3,800 and Jenner was the sole caller, heading to the {5-Hearts} turn.

Ederoua led for 8,700 and Jenner raised to 24,000, snap-calling the all in of the Winamax Poker Tour finalist with ace-queen. Ederoua had that beat with {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} and the {J-Diamonds} river was a brick.

Only two weeks ago, the Frenchman took home €50,000 for his third place finish out of a field of 1,306 and seems to be destined for yet another deep run.

These Tournaments are Tough

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a raise to 2,200, Rebecca Gerin grabbed some chips and wanted to three-bet to 5,800 without noticing that it was a 500-chip and not 5,000. Instead, it was ruled as a call as she had put in less than the original raise and Miroslav Alilovic also called out of the big blind.

On a flop of {6-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Spades}, the initial preflop aggressor had bet 2,000 and folded to the 5,500-raise of Gerin, so did Alilovic. A few minutes ago the Frenchwoman had sighed "these tournaments are tough" when falling below starting stack.

Chip Leader No More

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Brian Benhamou has increased his stack to 145,000 and is the new chip leader, as Alexandre de Zutter tank-folded to a river shove of Rakesh Lalwani. The board was reading {K-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} and Lalwani pushed for 42,000 into a pot of 30,000. de Zutter needed some time and the table chat didn't help either, making him fold eventually.

Lalwani flipped over pocket aces and de Zutter then remarked 30 seconds later to have had {K-} {Q-} for top pair.

Darcourt Gets into the Groove

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Arnauld Peyroles opened to 2,500 and faced the three-bet of Guillaume Darcourt to 6,000. Peyroles gave it some thought before mucking the cards and one could understand "he is not that crazy" from the Frenchman, referring to his opponent. This may be up for debate.

Miroslav Alilovic on the same table has also silently amassed chips and is not far behind Darcourt.

Not Much Happening

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

In the past 20 minutes, no player has been running out of chips and the screens are frozen at 81 participants remaining. The tables itself didn't provide much entertainment either, which has to be due to the lack of entertainers such as Matas Cimbolas and Anas Tadini.

The Power of Chips

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Alexandre de Zutter had been boasting a massive stack already and apparently knows how to use it. He flat-called a raise to 2,000 from the button and then bet the {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {10-Hearts} flop for 3,800 after the action was checked to him.

That enforced a fold and the next hand the Frenchman opened to 2,200. An opponent from one seat over called and the heads-up flop of {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} was checked by both players. On the {5-Spades} turn, de Zutter bet 4,200 and that shut down all further action.
