Move Goes Horribly Wrong for Manquant

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

After two limps and a raise to 1,500 by Ali Aitobram, Toni Dieguez flat-called out of the small blind and Ricardo Manquant three-bet to 4,300 out of the big blind. Aitobram and Dieguez both called to see the flop of {7-Spades} {4-Hearts} {4-Spades}. Manquant's continuation bet for 8,500 was called by both opponents to see the {2-Clubs} on the turn.

The action was checked to Dieguez and the Spaniard moved all in for 24,600. Manquant tanked for a while and eventually called for more than half his stack whereas Aitobram mucked pocket nines according to the table chat. Dieguez flipped over {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} and Manquant's {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} failed to deliver the final blow, as the {5-Clubs} river completed the board.

Back to the Grind for Rodrigues

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Anthony Rodrigues lost a bigger pot after defending his big blind with {6-Clubs} {4-Clubs} and witnessing a flop of {6-} {7-Clubs} {5-Clubs}. The Belgian check-raised from 1,500 to 4,000 and was called before betting the {Q-Hearts} turn for 8,000. His opponent called and the {5-Diamonds} river was checked through to see the pot awarded to the pocket tens of the opponent.

Down below starting stack the Belgian just opened to 1,200 and was called by Amina Benkirane as well as Dominique Terzian in the blinds. Rodrigues took down the pot with a continuation bet on the {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} flop, but it is still a long way to go in order to reach his previous heights.

Ktorza Re-Enters Day 1b

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

After getting low early on, Philippe Ktorza slowly grinded up to 17,000 chips and then faced the three-bet all in of a short stack for 6,000. Ktorza four-bet all in himself with pocket tens and the initial raiser called with {A-} {K-}. The other short stack took away one out with {K-} {J-} but nonetheless the dealer burned and turned an ace and king on the flop straight away to cause two seat open.

Ktorza will be back tomorrow for Day 1b.

Bounty for Riehl

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ludovic Riehl raised to 800 from the button and Matas Cimbolas called out of the small blind, so did the player from one seat over. After a flop of {9-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}, the player in the big blind bet 1,300 and was called by Riehl before the {4-Clubs} on the turn got checked through.

On the {J-Diamonds} river, the opponent of Riehl check-raised all in for 23,275 and the Frenchman, deep into his massage, tanked for two minutes. Riehl then asked the tournament floor to call time on himself in order to find a decision and made the call three seconds before the one minute ran down.

The player in the big blind sighed and turned over {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} while Riehl scooped the pot with {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}.

Still no Cash for Lecomte

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante
Quentin Lecomte
Quentin Lecomte

Yesterday, Quentin Lecomte complained on twitter that he still doesn't have a cash in 2015 after busting in the Deep Stack Event and also been sent to the rail early on Day 1a as well after three-betting to 2,500 preflop. Bruno Michels as well as Mimene Saoudi jumped into the action as well and found a three-way flop of {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}.

Saoudi bet 4,300 and Lecomte moved all in for his last 11,725. Michels mucked and some table chat followed before Saoudi tossed in the extra chips with {A-Spades} {J-Spades}. The Frenchman was hoping for either a king, ace or ten as he held the {K-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. Neither the {3-Clubs} nor the {Q-Spades} on turn and river changed anything to send Lecomte packing.
