Tournament staff has confirmed that there have been a total of 171 entries today. This includes 16 players on their second bullet and about half the field has been running out of chips thus far.
Dominique Terzian ran out of chips within the last few minutes after previously dropping below starting stack. The four-bet shove of the Spaniard with off suit ran straight into the pocket aces of a Spanish player, who found the best starting hand in Texas Hold'em and didn't have any sweat at all.

EPT 11 Deauville finalist Matas Cimbolas is nowhere to be found anymore in the tournament area. His previous table has been broken since and the Lithuanian was apparently unable to spin up his 20 big blinds after the dinner break. Cimbolas has the opportunity to enter the competition again tomorrow though on the hunt for a World Series of Poker Circuit ring.
It is only the second-ever WSOP Event that the Lithuanian is playing anyways but that is more due to his young age.

Said El Yousfi has emerged victorious in Event #11 to claim the elusive World Series of Poker Circuit Ring after defeating Dimitri Halliez in heads-up.
Down to the last three players there was already a deal before El Yousfi then started the battle one-versus-one with a commanding lead. In the final hand, the had spiked a flush draw and completed on the turn.
The screens show 171 entries in total and nobody registered anymore during the dinner break. It remains to be seen if that is the official number as well and for now, 16 re-entries are included. Day 1a plays until the end of level 12 and no more break will take place until the bagging and tagging.

The players have been sent into a 60-minute dinner break. In the final hand of the level, Ludovic Riehl as well as another opponent both invested 4,200 chips on the turn before folding to a shove for 11,300. The short stack sheepishly showed his for the flush draw.
