Mark Seif Eliminates Scott Fischman with Set Over Set

A player limped from middle position, Scott Fischman limped from late position and Mark Seif raised 4,500 from the cut-off. The first player pushed all in for his last 2,275, and Fischman called Seif''s raise. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Fischman checked, Seif pushed all in and Fischman called. The turn and river came {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

The middle position player showed A-4, Fischman had pocket nines and had flopped a set, but Seif had pocket jacks and caught a jack on the river for a better set. After the hand Seif had 84,500 in chips.

A Blowup

During the World Series Mike "The Mouth" Matusow has worn T-shirts with "No Blowups" written on the back. Matusow just ignored his own wardrobe's advice.

After the action was folded around Tonio Scali raised from the small blind. Matusow raised to 5,600 out of the big blind, and Scali re-raised to 15,600. Matusow pushed all-in and Scali called.

Scali held pocket aces, Matusow pocket sixes. The aces held up and Matusow now sits with 24,000 while Scali rose to 46,000.

Reviewing what transpired, Matusow said, "That might've been the worst-played hand of my life."
