. Manny Minaya thought for a while before folding and Gill raked in the pot to move over 550,000. Minaya slipped back to 170,000.

Keith Carter and Tim Taft were all in preflop, Carter with {9-Clubs}

Montgomery Gets Cheap Showdown

Montgomery Runs Quads Into Straight Flush

Scott Montgomery is still alive in Event 7, but only just.

After facing a raise from Theo Tran under the gun to 21,000, Montgomery called from middle position.

Both players checked the flop of {4-Spades}

. Tran led for 28,000 on the turn of the {2-Spades}

. After some deliberation, Montgomery made the call and both players saw the river of the {3-Spades}

.

Once Tran made it 75,000 to go, Montgomery went deep into the tank before announcing, "This is sick, I'm putting you on a straight flush, but I can't fold!!" and threw in 75,000.

As Tran tabled {A-Spades}

Montgomery tabled his hand of {5-Clubs}

for flopped quads. As the table stood shocked at how he didn't go broke, Tran scooped the 260,000 pot and moved his stack up to 700,000 while Montgomery moved down to 305,000.
