Manny Being Manny

Keith Carter raises from early position, making it 21,000 to skate. From the big blind, Manny Minaya puts in the call, and the two go heads-up to the flop.

The dealer spreads the first three community cards: {3-Spades} {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. Minaya checks, and Carter continues out with a bet of 40,000. Minaya makes the call.

The turn card is the {A-Clubs}, and both players check.

Fifth street is the {9-Diamonds}. Minaya leads out into the pot for 50,000. Carter debates his play for a brief moment before sliding his calling chips into the pot.

Minaya tables {A-Spades} {5-Spades} for two pair, and Carter flips his hand into the muck. Manny Minaya rakes in a nice pot, and chips up close to 400,000.

Big Hands, One Winner

Down to three tables and the action is fast and furious.

Three players were all in preflop: Derek Harrington had {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Larry Gurney had {J-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Mike Lisanti had {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Lisanti dragged the monster pot to move to 515,000.

Can Anyone Stop Theo?

Ship it to Tran
Ship it to Tran
Theo Tran is on a roll after raking in a massive pot by smooth-calling with kings — again.

After a player raised preflop to 20,000, Tran and Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf called.

The flop was J-10-7 and Tran and Woolf checked to the player, who shoved more than 150,000.

Woolf folded and Tran called showing kings. His opponent had K-J and the board bricked out.

Theo has around 600,000.

Fo' Shorr

Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr
From the looks of things, we have ourselves a new chip leader once again.

Shannon Shorr and Phil Collins (not the Phil Collins) just became involved in a massive pot.

Collins put in a preflop raise, making it 15,000 to go. Shorr obliged him with the call, and the flop brought {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} . Shorr bet out 21,000, and Collins pumped it up to 62,000. Shorr made his move, pushing all in to cover the other player, close to 190,000 total.

Collins made the call with a set, {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} , and Shorr showed down {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} .

The club flush got there on the turn for Shorr, as the {Q-Clubs} put Collins behind, needing the board to pair to stay alive.

No such luck though, as the river {9-Hearts} was a complete brick.

After raking in that monster pot, Shannon Shorr is our new leader with 460,000. While writing this, he has chipped up further to a whopping 510,000.

Montgomery on a Roll

Scott Montgomery, who finished fifth in the LA Poker Classic, is racking up pots. First he took a big one from Dustin Woolf, then he eliminated a player with A-J versus the player's A-K, spiking a jack on the flop.

He's up to 413,000.

JC Tran Does Not Stop and Go

JC Tran

Scott Montgomery raised to 18,000 and JC Tran called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Tran moved all in.

"This wasn't premeditated. I can still play with 46,000," said Tran of his at-risk chips.

Montgomery went into the tank before calling with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Tran showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades}.

"I'm not going to stop and go with that," Tran said.

The turn and the river were no help to Montgomery and Tran is at 135,000. Montgomery is at 250,000.

Carter Gill is Sorry, But He'll Take The Chips

With a raise in front of him, Carter Gill bumped it to 40,000 and his opponent went all in. Gill reluctantly called.

"You probably got me," said Gill, turning over the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. "I just thought you had absolutely nothing."

His opponent showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, way ahead on a flop of {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The {2-Hearts} came on the turn and Gill called out for a four-outer.

"King, one time," Gill said.

The river brought what Gill was looking for — the {k-Clubs}.

"Sorry man," Gill said. "The fact you didn't shove made you seem really weak."

Gill is up to 290,000 and his opponent heads to the rail.
