Negreanu Takes A Hit

A player opened with a raise from under the gun and Daniel Negreanu popped it up from the small blind. The big blind folded and the UTG player made the call.

They saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} where Negreanu led out with a bet and his opponent made the call. The turn brought the {4-Spades} and Negreanu fired again, but this time he was met with a raise. Negreanu called and the {8-Diamonds} landed on the river. Negreanu checked and his opponent bet sending Negreanu into some deliberation.

"I feel like I'm beat here" Negreanu pondered before tossing out calling chips. His opponent flipped {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a turned set of fours to take it down as Negreanu slips to 20,000 chips.

Flopped Nuts No Good For Rivet

One of the frustrations many players have with Limit Holdem is that when you flop the goods it can be difficult to protect your hand. Guillaume Rivet just learned that the hard way after his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flopped the nut straight on a {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop.

His opponent was Paris Seraj, who raised after the turn and river were spread {7-Hearts},{J-Spades}.

Rivet shook his head and made the call, before angrily slamming his cards on the table in disgust after Seraj tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a rivered full house. She moves up to 50,000 with Rivet now crippled.
