Matusow Chops to Stay Alive

Omaha-8

On a flop of {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow led out with a bet. He was called in three spots. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Matusow fired another bet. The next player raised and the other two players folded so that action was back on Matusow. Matusow reraised all in and his opponent called.

Matusow showed {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Spades} and his opponent held {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}. The river was a blank and the two players chopped up the pot, keeping Matusow alive in the tournament with 5,000 chips.

Stud

Raphael Zimmerman just recently got involved with Daniel Negreanu in a hand of stud.

Zimmerman: (X-X) {2-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Negreanu: (X-X) {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} (X)
Opponent: (X-X) {A-Spades} {7-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} (X)

Picking up the action on fifth street, Zimmerman led and was called by both opponents. He led sixth as well, but this time Negreanu raised. The third player called and then Zimmerman elected to fold.

Negreanu tabled {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} ({A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {4-Clubs}) for an ace-high flush and his opponent folded. Negreanu is now up to 21,000.
