A Few Chip Counts

I mistakenly reported Chris "Jesus" Ferguson was out a while back. My bad, he's still in with 7,500 chips.

More counts:

Captain Tom Franklin 24,000
Adam 'Roothlus' Levy 2,500
Marco Traniello 3,000
Phillippe Rouas 3,000
David Williams 7,000
James Mackey 7,300
Soren Kongsgaard 14,700
Yevgeniy Timoshenko 12,700

King Kongsgaard

More chips for the young Danish pro as he sees a three-way flop of {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}. He and the initial raiser in early position both check and midposition bets 2,200. Kongsgaard now raises to 4,550 and quickly elicits folds from his two opponents.

Moving House

The remaining tables from Miranda and Brasilia are starting to filter into the Amazon room. Even as a table breaks, a whole new set of ten players followed by plastic bags full of their chips come in to sit down at the table.

Anyone Want to Take a Ride with Nelly?

Nelly took with one hand and then gave away with the other as the poker gods balanced their books. It went down like this...

There was an early limp and then a player in mid position made it 800 to play before Nelly moved all in for over 4,000. The limper moved out of the way before the mid-position player called all in with {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} and was ahead of Nelly's {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}.

The board ran {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} to give Nelly two pair and send his opponent packing.

The very next hand Nelly three bet a player in the cut-off before calling a four bet all in with {K-?} {K-?}. He was in great shape too against his opponent's {K-?} {Q-?} until the board came down {8-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. Nelly congratulated his opponent and left with his bodyguard.

Timoschenko Doubles. Again.

It's all going spiffingly well for Yevgeniy Timoshenko today. He's just doubled once more, betting 1,050 on a {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {6-Spades}, his opponent set him in and the WPT Champion quickly called with {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} and was up against {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}. The turn {A-Hearts} sealed the deal, leaving Timoshenko high and dry for the {2-Hearts} river. He's on 11,900 now.

All Quiet On The Miranda Front

Despite being a loud buzzing place perhaps just 3 hours ago, the Miranda room has become a very low-key place. Around 400 or so players have busted there, meaning it contains a mere shadow of its former self.

A Chip and a Chair

This term has been banded around quite a lot in the poker world in reference to the famous Jack Straus story. Well I have good reason to use it again thanks to one Brad MacMillin.

Earlier on he took a bad beat holding pocket fives versus a player with a jack. Some chips went in on {J-?} {5-?} {7-?} board before the rest went in on the turn when a another {J-?} appeared. Macmillin's full house was looking good until a nasty {7-?} appeared on the river to send the pot the other way.

After a count down MacMillin was left with a solitary green chip worth 25. Jump forward a couple of hours and our friend is sitting pretty on more than 6,000 chips. Is it this man's destiny?
