Micon Has Good Start

After a middle position raise to 200, Bryan Micon reraised to 350 and was called.

The flop came {4-Spades} {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} and the original raiser check/called Micon's 275 bet for leading out for 575 on the {9-Spades} turn. Micon made the call and then called another 900 on the {4-Clubs} river. Middle position showed {A-?}-x but lost out to Micon's {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}, the latter now on about 5,000.

Easy Game Sometimes

Sometimes you're opponents do all the hard work for you and are only too willing to donate to the cause. A recipient of such a cause is Nick Binger.

He raised from the cut off to 150 was called by the button before the big blind three bet to 550. Only Binger called before the flop came {3-Spades} {5-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}. The BB led out for 1,200 and after a pause Binger went all in for 1,675 more.

The BB got out of his chair and asked Binger "Are you bluffing me?" and then called with {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}!! Binger tabled {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} that held up to take the pot.

Binger sits on around 8,000 whereas his opponent was left crippled and busted moments later.

Ivey Busto

Phil Ivey has been knocked out of the tournament, but when $1,000 is the amount you usually pay for your big blind, I doubt he'll be too concerned.

Oh to be Erick Lindgren for a Day

Second to act, Erick Lindgren made it 125 to play. There was one caller before the big blind three bet to 475. Lindgren called after seeing how many chips the BB had but the other player folded.

The flop came {10-Spades} {6-Spades} {10-Clubs}. The BB checked to Lindgren who bet 600. Call. The turn prompted similar action just with the bet at 1,800. Call.

Once more the big blind check-called after seeing {8-Spades} river. The value squeezing bet was 2,000 this time. Lindgren showed {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} for trips and was good to beat the BB's {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}.

Lindgren up to 8,000 now.
