Kid Draw Poker

Julie Schneider raised from middle position, and Daniel Negreanu called out of the big blind. He took one card while Schneider needed two. Negreanu took that as a sign to bet, and his opponent called.

On the second draw, Schneider took two again, and she once again called when Negreanu took one and bet. Negreanu patted on the last round, and Schneider still needed one card. The action check-checked, and Negreanu tabled 9-8-7-3-2. His ninety-eight was better than anything Schneider could show, and the pot goes to Kid Poker.

Negreanu - 73,000
Schneider - 96,500

Deep Stacks...

There's quite a few deep stacks now remaining, despite us having reached the money. Although the pace has been relatively quick to this point, we're expecting it to really slow down of the next couple of levels.

No Bubble

You can forget about hand-for-hand play. We've just blitzed right through the bubble and on into the money with two consecutive knockouts.

The official bubble boy was Tom McCormick who was down to just 400 chips to start his final hand. Heads up with Joseph Morrow, McCormick put those last few chips in drawing two-two-one. Morrow drew two cards before standing pat twice. "You're pat?" asked McCormick. "Bet? Check it down?" The table chuckled.

In the end, Morrow tabled 8-7-6-3-2, and McCormick showed his first four: 8-6-4-2. He had plenty of outs, but picking up another four on his last draw was no good. Failing to improve, McCormick is out one spot shy of the money in 25th place.

After beginning the day with the shortest stack left, Joseph Morrow has eliminated the final non-cashing player, and he and the other 23 remaining runners are now in the money.

Water Works...

Because we're away from the main area in the Miranda room, there are not half as many waitresses around. The tournament director just grabbed a whole crate of water and set it aside on the spare table for the players to help themselves..

Nassif Can't Beat a Pair

Going out just on the cusp of the money was Gabriel Nassif. He was all in against Peter Hedlund and Blair Rodman.

After the last draw, Hedlund could only show a pair of fours and Rodman had a pair of threes. Nassif had {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} and many outs to win but he caught another {6-?} to lose out to Rodman's treys and get knocked out in 26th.

Rick Rolled

Sorry, Rick. Didn't mean to cooler you by posting that video.

The downturn began in a heads-up pot with Julie Schneider. Rick Fuller was the initial raiser, and he called a single bet from Schneider after he drew two cards. On the next draw, Scheider stood pat and bet again, and Fuller elected to fold, leaving himself with just 600 chips.

One hand later, those 600 chips went in the middle before the draw in a tangle with Blair Rodman. Fuller patted the whole way, and Rodman would end up drawing to an eighty-seven to send Fuller off to catch up on sleep from last night.

Fernandez' Four-Bet Bluff Doesn't Work

After the second draw, Miguel Fernandez check-called a bet from Justin Smith before drawing two cards while the latter stood pat.

Fernandez then checked the river and Smith bet, Fernandez then check-raised before Smith made it three bets. Fernandez then made it four bets which left 'Boosted J' in agony, but he eventually made the call.

"I err...missed," said Fernandez, showing a pair of threes.

Smith turned over {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?} {2-?} for number four.
