Hawrilenko Loses Some More Chips

When the player under-the-gun raised to 700 he got four callers, including Matt Hawrilenko in middle position.

A flop of {K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} brought a continuation bet of 1,800 with Hawrilenko the only caller. Both players checked down the rest of the board, which ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and Hawrilenko mucked when his opponent showed {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for top pair. Hawrilenko is down to 9,100 chips.

Tom Dwan Is Not Durrrr

Our WSOP-issued list of notable players in today's event listed Thomas Dwan as playing at table 97 seat 2. When we went by to check however, the man seated in that position was definitely not Durrrr.

We chalked it up as a typographical error and moved on.

Turns out, the WSOP folks were right. The player seated at table 97 seat 2 is Durrrr's father, Thomas Dwan.

Lisandro Strikes Again

Jeff Lisandro doing work in the early going
For the second round in a row, Jeff Lisandro was involved in a big heads-up pot with Sirous Jamshidi in the final hand, and once again Lisandro came out on top.

Under the gun, Jamshidi raised to 450, and he called a re-raise when Lisandro made it 1,550 from the small blind. The flop came out {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades}, and Lisandro continued out with a bet of 3,300. Jamshidi called, and the turn card came the {6-Diamonds}. Both players checked this time, and a free {2-Hearts} hit the river. Lisandro bet 10,100, and Jamshidi quickly made the call.

Jamshidi showed down {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} for the overpair, but Lisandro had an overpair to that. His {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} was good enough to win him another nice pot at Jamshidi's expense, moving him up to 70,500. Sirous is left with just 2,250.

Bonomo Doubles Before Break

The following hand occured right before the break.

On a board of {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} a player checked to Justin Bonomo who bet about 6,000. His opponent called.

The river paired the board with the {6-Spades} . After another check from his opponent, Bonomo moved all in for 13,850.

His opponent made the call, but mucked his hand after Bonomo showed {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}. He doubled up and is now at 53,000.

Graham Busts at the Break

Six players limped into the pot and saw a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The big blind led out for 625 and got called by the player under-the-gun before action folded to Matt Graham who raised to 2,625 from the cutoff.

When action moved back to the small blind, he reraised to 6,500 and under-the-gun tanked before finally making the call. Graham then moved all in for his final 7,325 and got called.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and under-the-gun bet 6,000 into a dry side pot. The small blind called and both players checked the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

The small blind showed {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} for top two pair and took the pot, ending Matt Graham's Main Event.

Coppola Doubles

After some preflop action, the small blind, Fabio Coppola, put in his remaining 2,675 chips in the pot against the player from the button. The player made the call with {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. Coppola held {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts}.

A three flopped to put Coppola in the lead and after the entire board ran out, he was still in the lead. Coppola earned the double up to just over 10,000 chips.

Porter Slipping

Under the gun, a player raised to 500 and both blinds called. Rep Porter was in the big blind. The flop came down {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Action checked to the preflop raiser and he bet 1,000. Only Porter came along for the ride.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and Porter checked. His opponent fired 1,500 and Porter called again.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Porter check-called another bet, this time for 2,500. His opponent tabled {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} for a full house and Porter mucked his hand, dropping to 16,500 in the process.
