The players have relocated to a feature table in the corner of the Amazon Room and, to the thrills of everyone, have randomly drawn Razz as the first game.
Down to 119,000, Alexander Kostritsyn moved all-in from the button with and John Juanda called from the small blind with . Juanda flopped a nine and rivered trips, sending Kostritsyn to the rail.
Our final nine are now re-drawing for seats at a single table.
Robert Mizrachi completed with the and Kostritsyn called with the leaving himself just 3,000 more behind. After bringing in with the Vladimir Schmelev also made the call.
On fourth, Schmelev checked to Mizrachi who made a bet. Kostritsyn tossed in his last chips, and a side pot was formed when Schmelev also made the call.
Again the action went check, bet, call on fifth street between the two live players, before sixth street was checked. On seventh, Schmelev led with a bet and Mizrachi looked him up.
When all was said and done the boards looked like this:
David Baker opened for a raise from the button and Nick Schulman defended his big blind. Both players drew two cards. Schulman bet and Baker called. Schulman took one card on the second draw while Baker drew two again. Schulman led again and Baker called. Schulman rapped pat while Baker drew one more. Schulman checked, Baker bet and Schulman called.
Baker turned over 7-6-5-4-2 and increased his stack to 2,570,000 while Schulman fell to 1,240,000.
David Oppenheim (X)(X) / / (X)
John Juanda (X)(X) / / (X)
Oppenheim completed on third street, Alexander Kostritsyn raised, Juanda reraised, Oppenheim called and Kostritsyn folded. Oppenheim check-called a bet from Juanda on fourth street, then led the rest of the way, Juanda calling him down.
"Kings," said Oppenheim as he turned over .
"Just kings?" replied Juanda as he showed for two pair, tens and sixes. Juanda raked in the pot and is up to 2.2 million while Oppenheim fell to 950,000.
The short-stacked Alexander Kostritsyn has just found a desperate double up in Stud. He was all in on third street against Robert Mizrachi with the boards running out:
Kostritsyn: () (?)
Mizrachi: () (?)
Mizrachi started with queens in the hole but couldn't improve as Kostritsyn's two pair were good to double up to around 160,000 chips.
David Baker regained those lost chips in short order after four-bet shoving over Daniel Alaei's 85,000 opening raise and Michael Thuritz's 250,000 reraise. Both players folded and Baker is back up to 1.7 million.
David Baker opened for 85,000 from UTG and Daniel Alaei called from the small blind. The flop came down and Alaei check-called Baker's 130,000 bet. The turn was the and Alaei checked again. Baker bet 380,000 and Alaei called. Both players checked the on the river.
Alaei showed for trips and took his stack up to 2.56 million. Baker is down to 1.34 million.
