No Lovelace Lost

We joined the action on the turn as the board read 
, and there was about 15,000 in the pot. Richard Lovelace checked from the big blind, and Lars Bonding put out a bet of 6,900. It looks like he was the preflop raiser from under the gun, and Lovelace called the turn bet to see the 
fill out the board. Bonding bet 17,000 this time, and his opponent check-called again.
Bonding tabled 
for the overpair, and it was good. Lovelace drops to 48,000 with that pot, and Bonding shoots all the way up to 180,000.
Bad Spot for Pilgrim
With a player raising from middle position to 2,800 we found Dwyte Pilgrim reraising in the cut-off to 6,500. A third player, Lynne Mitchnick in the big blind then went all in for 37,200. The player in middle position folded and Pilgrim called the all in bet.

It was aces versus kings and it was Pilgrim who was going to need some help. The cards came 
and Mitchnick's aces held allowing her to double up.

Baldwin Misses on the Squeeze Play
From the table we gathered that Eric Baldwin squeezed from the big blind and the small blind, Benjamin Jenkins, shoved. Baldwin was pretty much committed to the call and he made it.

Rettenmaier Puts Berda On the Clock

We found this hand at the river and Martin Rettenmaier had a bet of 20,800 in front him. The board read 
and the pot was already 20,000 without Rettenmaier's river bet. Tomer Berda was deep in the tank. Calling would represent at least a third of his stack.
Around three or four minutes passed without Berda making a decision. Rettenmaier called for a clock on Berda. The floorman arrived, put him on the clock and with 30 seconds left Berda mucked his hand.
Ruberto Railing People
Istvan Toro, a short stack moved all in from late position and it was Anthony Ruberto who made the call in the big blind. Ruberto declared that he just had to see his opponent's cards, and that is why he made the call.

Ruberto was fairly happy with the spot he was in as Toro didn't have any of his cards nor did he have an over pair. The cards came out 
. Toro managed to grab hold of an open ended straight draw going to the river, but he was never able to connect. Ruberto was able to find two pair on the board which was enough to deliver the knock out blow.

Open Shove with Rags and Double? No Problem

Ed Saballa open shoved in middle position for 20,000 and action folded around to Claudio Baptista, who called. Baptista had Saballa covered and held . Saballa turned over and was at risk for his tournament life.
The board ran 
and Saballa's rags beat Baptista's big slick and Saballa doubled to 44,000.
A Growing Threat With a Growing Chip Stack
After a series of bets between Dwyte Pilgrim and Bret Hruby preflop the dealer put out . Pilgrim then check called a bet of 4,100 from Hruby. On the turn we had a repeat of action with Pilgrim checking and Hruby putting out a bet of 8,900 and Pilgrim smooth calling.
The 
river brought checks from both players. Cards were then flipped, Hruby showed 
for a pair of jacks. Pilgrim countered the pair of jacks by showing the table 
for a pair of kings and the winning hand. Pilgrim's growing chip stack has made him one of the big stacks in the room with around 200,000.
