We missed the action preflop, but when we arrived at their table Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell and Allen "albari" Bari were heads up with the board reading . Mitchell checked, Bari tossed out 750, and Mitchell called. The turn was the , and Mitchell checked again. Bari cooly tossed out a lavender T500 chip, and Mitchell again called.
The river was the , and Mitchell checked a third time. Bari slid out about 20,000 - even though Mitchell only had around 4,000 in chips - and Mitchell check-called for a third time. Bari tabled for trip fives, and Mitchell tried to muck his hand but the dealer flipped it over - . Bari recorded the knockout, scooped the pot, and is now nearing 50,000 chips.
When we reached his table, Antonio Esfandiari was heads up with an opponent and the board read . Esfandiari checked, his opponent shoved for effectively 14,000, and Esfandiari quickly called. His opponent opened up for an ace-high flush, and Esfandiari mucked his hand before hitting the rail.
