Let's be honest: When does Phil Ivey not have the nuts or something close to it?
We picked Mr. Ivey up in a heads-up pot with a player whose name escapes us.
Ivey: (x-x) / / (x)
Opponent: (x-x) / / (x)
Mr. Opponent was betting his lead all the way through sixth with Ivey paying off each bet. On seventh, though, Ivey was the one to get a bet in, and the opponent check-called.
Ivey tabled , and that's plenty good. Broadway earns him the pot, and he's moved back up to about 13,000 or so.
Mike Sexton has had himself a pretty good World Series so far. He registered two cashes in one day earlier when he took 16th in the 3k No Limit Hold'em/Omaha heads up for $9,644, then later that day finished 15th in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event for $6,532. He's in this tournament today, and doing well so far.
Sexton: (x-x) / / (x)
Opponent: (x-x) / / (x)
We caught up with the action on sixth street, where Sexton check called a bet from his opponent. As seventh street was being dealt, Sexton checked dark, and his opponent bet. Sexton peeked down at his hole cards, and elected to check raise. His opponent was clearly upset by this, and said "well you either have kings full or its a sick bluff." He thought for a few more moments, before jokingly saying "you're a notorious bluffer" as he mucked his hand. Sexton kept his table in mystery as he mucked his hand, and he collected the pot, upping his stack to 22,000.

We're not sure of the details, but we can confirm that Bill Munley, who if you recall won his way into this event through a satellite last night, will not be able to parlay his investment into a gold bracelet as he was recently eliminated from the tournament.
Meanwhile, here's some bad news from Chris Klodnicki's Twitter:
