We have just ran over to Table #2 after hearing cries of, "Untouchable Steve has done it again!"
John Duthie is leaving the table and lying in front of his chair is the . Steve O'Dwyer is shipping his chips into his stack and the dealer is pulling the into his arms. The board is and O'Dwyer has hit a two outer on the river.
"Here, you might as well have these now," said an opponent as he moved his stack cheekily into the direction of O'Dwyer.
Steve O'Dwyer doesn't care how he gets his chips…he now has 105,000.
The Table of Death has suffered a few personnel changes but the replacement cast allows us to keep the suitable title. Brock Parker has bust and has been replaced by Chris Moorman and Mori Eskandani has returned from the family emergency that took him away from the tournament in the very first level. Shaun Deeb continues his role as the table chip leader but JP Kelly and Chris Moorman are hot on his heels. Here is Deeb eliminating another opponent.
There was a raise form early position for 1,500 and Deeb made the call on the button. The flop was and the initial raiser check-called a 1,800 Deeb bet. Onto the turn and we saw the , the initial raiser checked, Deeb bet 4,100, the initial raiser moved all-in for 18,000 and Deeb snap-called.
Deeb
Opponent
The river was the and Deeb moved up to 98,000 as his opponent moved away from the tournament table.
Phil Ivey has just taken a seat to the direct left of Kathy Liebert on Table #5. He has around 23,000 chips and Liebert has upset him already. Nothing to do with the play though. Liebert has been super-chatty today and no sooner as Ivey sat down, Liebert was asking him how he was doing? Ivey didn't respond quick enough and Liebert, jokingly, gave him an admonishment.
"Kathy, I have just sat down," said a disgruntled Ivey.
The result of the tete-a-tete is a table covered in silence. Oh dear!
We reported earlier how Chris Moorman had doubled up through David 'Viffer' Peat after registering late and we have another similar happening.
Bryn Kenney has only just sat down in the number one seat on Table #2 and has immediately doubled through John Duthie. Kenny was holding on a board of and the chips of both players were in the middle. We couldn't see the hand of Duthie but judging by his words, "everyone always hits their flush draws against me," we are going to imagine he had the flush draw. The turn and river did not contain a diamond and Kenney doubled up.
Kathy Liebert has just doubled up in the first hand after the break, courtesy of Eric Froehlich. We didn't see the action but we did see the showdown; all the action occured pre flop.
We just saw Chris Moorman during the break. He told us that he had late regged and was sat on 90,000 courtesy of a gift from David 'Viffer' Peat who five bet jammed with when Moorman was holding .
We also heard during the break that Viffer is only playing in this event because he lost a bet!
We walked over to Table 5 to find Ludovic Lacay all in preflop with against Eric Froehlich's . The flop provided Lacay with very little help, but he binked the turn with the . E-Fro needed one of the two remaining aces in the deck to eliminate the Frenchman, and he drilled it when the hit the river.
As Lacay exited the tournament area, Froehlich began buying up all the 25-denomination chips as players prepared for their dinner break.
We joined the action on a flop of with four players in a three-bet pot. Keith Lehr checked in the small blind, Manuel Bevand checked in the big blind, Erick Lindgren checked in early position and Noah Schwartz bet 8,175 on the button. Bevand made the call and the other three players folded. So Schwartz and Bevand moved onto the turn and it was the .
