Aguiar Doubles, Looks For Deeb's Action

Jon Aguiar
Jon Aguiar

Jon Aguiar just found himself some fightin' chip. We walked past him just a moment ago to see him floundering with less than his starting stack. On the return trip past his table, he was stacking up a pot to push him up to about 60,000.

After he stacked up, Aguiar turned to Shaun Deeb at the adjacent table to try and find some last-longer action.

"How much do you have?" Aguiar asked.

"More than you," Deeb laughed. He's got about 110,000, and he told Aguiar that number.

"Even?" Aguiar asked, proposing an even-money last-longer bet. Deeb just laughed.

"You're probably going to final table this," he said.

"Yeah, but you play a little bit better these days," Aguiar conceded. "I'll give you that."

"Doesn't mean I play good," Deeb jabbed at himself.

The action is off for now.

Antonio Esfandiari: I Am Not a Good Flipper

He aint no flipper!
He aint no flipper!

Antonio Esfandiari has just handed Nicolas Levi 22,300 chips. The chips went in pre flop in your classic coin flip situation.

Levi{8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}
Esfandiari{A-} {Q-}

Board: {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Spades} {6-Spades} {7-Diamonds}

"I am not a good flipper," said Esfandiari.

Chris Klodnicki Eliminates Keith Hawkins

Serial World Series of Poker (WSOP) casher Chris Klodnicki has just eliminated Keith Hawkins from the UK. Hawkins made a min-raise to 2,000 from first position, Olivier Busquet three-bet to 6,000 on the button, the small blind folded and Klodnicki had a decision in the big blind. In the end the decision was a four-bet to 16,000 and this covered the Hawkins stack. Hawkins called, Busquet folded and we headed for the cooler of all coolers.

Klodnicki{A-Spades} {A-Clubs}
Hawkins{K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}

Board: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}

So Keith Hawkins will not be added an 11th WSOP cash to his resume. Instead the player with over $1 million in live tournament earnings heads for the door. Klodnicki, meanwhile, moves up to 125,000.

Ivey Pressures Wooldridge to a Fold

With a final board of {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} laying in the middle of the table, Phil Ivey checked to Warren Wooldridge. Wooldridge slid out a bet of 8,000 with 15,300 in chips behind. Ivey leaned over slightly to get a look at Wooldridge's remaining stack and then check-raised enough to put the British player all in.

Wooldridge went into the tank and sat there for a minute or two into the break. Ivey didn't move. He just sat comfortably getting his massage while Wooldridge went back and forth in his head. Eventually, Wooldridge opted to fold and Ivey pulled in the pot before shooting off to break.

Hailing from London, England, Wooldridge is a British player with nearly $600,000 in live tournament earnings. His best World Series of Poker finish was a third-place result in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event last year. For that finish, Wooldridge earned just shy of $290,000. He had another third-place finish in 2006 at the WSOP coming in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em event for over $75,000. In total, Wooldridge has six WSOP cashes.
