Gargano Doubles Through Winzeler

Anthony Gargano raised to 4,400 from the hijack and chip leader Ryan Leng called on the button. Hans Winzeler re-raised all in for about 49,000 from the small blind. Gargano called all in for 42,300, Leng folded, and the hands were revealed.

Gargano: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Winzeler: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board came down {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} as Gargano's flopped set dodged Winzeler's river outs to a straight to secure the double.

Off to the Races

Jason Somerville
Jason Somerville

With action folding to Joe Tehan on the button he opted to make the blinds pay 4,000 to see the flop. Jason Somerville in the small blind had different plans and raised it up to 10,000. After the big blind folded Tehan four-bet to 20,000, to which Somerville responded with a 5-bet all in for 56,500. Tehan completed and made the call, so as is custom the cards were flipped over.

Somerville: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Tehan: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

A {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop looked perfect for Somerville, but there was still a turn and a river to come. With the {5-Hearts} on fourth street all Somerville had to do was avoid an ace or a queen and he would double up. The {8-Spades} river was a great sight for Somerville who after an initial hit earlier today is now in prime position to make a deep run.

Haddox Has It

With Kyle Julius making it 4,200 preflop from under the gun, action folded around to Randy Haddox in the small blind who moved in for 32,900 more. Julius made the quick call and both players turned their cards over.

Julius: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Haddox: {Q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

A {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board insured a double up for Haddox, who now has around 70,000 in chips

Cheong Flushes Colin

Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Joseph Cheong opened with a raise under the gun and Bryan Colin defended his big blind.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Colin check-called a bet of about 5,500 from Cheong, landing the {A-Hearts} on the turn. It was more of the same as Colin check-called 9,700 from Cheong, leading to the {2-Clubs} river. Another Colin check led to another Cheong bet, this one for 27,700. Colin took about 60 seconds before he called.

Cheong tabled {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the nut flush to win the pot.

Sommersaults

Jason Somerville started the action off in a recent hand by making it 4,000 preflop from the cut off. Somerville received a caller from the button, and when it was time for Jarred Solomon in the small blind to act he opted to move all in for 30,300. Sommerville then moved all in and the button folded.

Sommervile: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Solomon: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

With a {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} rolling off the deck for the flop, Sommervile took a defiant lead and managed to hold on to it as the {8-Clubs} and {j-Clubs} fell out of the deck for the turn-river respectively. Somerville who took a hit a few hands ago is now back in action with around 80,000 in chips

Crazy Zachary vs. Mad Marvin

Action folded around to Zach Clark in the small blind, and the former Brunson 10 member raised to 4,200 with around 41,000 behind. Marvin Rettenmaier shoved from the big blind, having Clark covered, and Clark snap-called.

Rettenmaier: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Clark: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

A {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} gave Clark a bit of a sweat, but the {10-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river secured a nice pot for Clark, who is now hovering around the average stack. Rettenmaier, meanwhile, is on the dreaded short stack.
