The players have gone on a 60 minute dinner break. We'll take a short breather, too, after we provide you with some updated chip counts. Check this space in a few minutes!
Several players stuck around for 10 minutes into the dinner break to watch a hand develop between Aaron Jones and Michael Ferrell. Here's how it played out:
Marvin Rettenmaier opened the action with a raise to 6,200 from under the gun. Jones called directly behind, Tom McCormick called on the button, and Ferrell pushed out a three-bet worth 19,500 from the small blind. Rettenmaier tank-folded, Jones called, and McCormick got out of the way.
The flop brought and Ferrell led out for 18,000. Jones called, and the dealer rolled out the turn. Ferrell opted to fire again, this time for 34,000, and Jones slowly reached into his stack and cut out enough chips for a call.
When the hit the river, Ferrell slowed down by checking. Jones took the lead by betting around 52,000. After very little thought, Ferrell got out of the way, and Jones eagerly showed his for a bluff.
"I had blockers," Jones joked as he raked in the pot. With that, the players are all on their dinner break.
A series of raises led to Kyle Julius all in and at risk with for about 100,000. Nicolas Levi had him slightly covered, but was behind with .
The flop and turn were fine for Julius, but the spiked on the river to give Levi the pot with a set. As the chips were being counted to verify, Julius admitted he had one T500 chip at the bottom of his cup of beer. He quickly chugged it down and flipped it back on the table as he exited the tournament.
After losing most of his stack with against Tom McCormick's , Martins Adeniya was all in prefop for his last 5,200 with against Raja Kattamuri's . The board rolled out and Adeniya was out the door with a min-cash worth $9,503.
After Aaron Jones raised to 4,800 under the gun, action folded around to Ronald Lee who moved all in for about 51,000 from the small blind. Jones made the call and it looked like the bubble was set to be burst.
Dan Buzgon and Brian Rast got into a preflop raising war that ended with Rast five-bet shoving all in and Buzgon snap-calling for his entire 170,000-chip stack. Buzgon was at risk of missing out on a minimum cash worth $9,503.
Rast:
Buzgon:
Holding the same hand, both players requested for the chips to be chopped up without a board. But that's not how it works, fellas.
Flop:
In the clear so far.
Turn:
Buzgon jumps out of his seat as Rast picks up a flush draw.
River:
It's a black card, but not the suit Rast needed to burst the bubble. Both players got the chop they requested, but it came with some excitement.
After an under the gun raise from Kyle Julius to 5,100, Randy Haddox (in the small blind) moved all in for 47,800. Julius made the call and we had a potential bubble burster.
Julius:
Haddox:
With a flop, it looked like we were going to have to wait a while longer to get in the money as Haddox took the lead. A turned and a river brought a double up and a longer wait for the players to reach the money.
