Kuether and Kostritsyn Split

Level 1

John Monnette raised pre-flop, and drew calls from Joe Kuether, Yuval Bronshtein in the small blind, and Alexander Kostritsyn in the big blind. The dealer spread {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for the flop, and action checked to Joe Kuether, who bet. Bronshtein folded, but both Kostritsyn and Monnette called to see the {a-Diamonds} fall on the turn. All three players checked, and the river was the {5-Diamonds}. Kostritsyn bet out, Monnette folded, and after thinking for about a minute, Kuether pushed forward chips for a call. Kostritsyn turned over {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} a six-low and a pair of sevens, and Kuether turned over {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a seven-low and two pair for high. Kuether's two pair won the high, and Kostritsyn took the low half of the pot.

Broadway For Rutter

Level 2

James Calderaro raised from under the gun and Stuart Rutter three-bet from the small blind. Roman Verenko called from the big blind, Calderaro called, and the flop fell {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Rutter kept up the aggression with a bet and was quickly raised by Verenko. Calderaro folded, Rutter called, and the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. Rutter checked to Verenko who bet, but this time he was raised by Rutter. Verenko called and then called a final bet after the {4-Diamonds} river.

Rutter tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for Broadway, Verenko mucked, and Rutter collected the pot.

Two Pair Good for Litvinov

Level 2

Max Pescatori limped preflop, one other player called, and Artem Litvinov raised from the small blind. Both other players called, and the flop came {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and all three players checked. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Litvinov checked, Pescatori bet, and only Litvinov called. The {q-Hearts} fell on the river, and Litvinov bet out. Pescatori thought for minute, and elected to call. Litvinov turned over {6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts} for queens-up. Pescatori mucked, and Litvinov took the pot.

After the hand, Litvinov sits with 12,000 in chips.

Ho Counterfeited; Wins Anyway

Level 2

Maria Ho limped from late position, and the small blind raised. Vanessa Selbst called from the big blind, and Ho also called. The flop was {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, and the small blind led out. Selbst folded, but Ho raised. After the blind called, the dealer turned the {3-Clubs}. Ho bet and was called, and she bet again on the {3-Diamonds} river card and was called again. Ho turned over {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. She had flopped top two pair, but the turn and river killed both her pairs. She ended up with trip threes with A-K kicker. It was enough, however, as her opponent mucked his cards and Ho took the pot. She is now up to 18,500.
