Blind Versus Blind Battle for Muehloecker

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

The button opened for 400 and Thomas Muehloecker called in the small blind. The flop was {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Muehloecker check-called for 400. On the {10-Hearts} turn, the Austrian high roller check-called for 700.

The {4-Diamonds} on the river brought another check from Muehloecker, who tanked after facing a 2,000 bet from his opponent. He ended up folding his hand and slipped to 11,000.

Simao Painfully Short

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

On a {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades} river, Joao Simao bet 1,100 from a stack of 2,800. His opponent then raised all in.

"Should be a great laydown," the player said to Simao. "If you can do it."

Simao could and eventually folded, then implored his opponent to show one. He turned over the {k-Spades} and took down the pot, and Simao is now at around 12 big blinds.

Hall Eliminated by Bettencourt

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Jeff Bettencourt raised to 350 from the button. The small blind called and Galen Hall three-bet to 1,500 from the big blind. Bettencourt called and the small blind folded.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{q-Spades} and Hall moved all in for 3,025.

Bettencourt blinked at the size of the all-in. "Large and in charge," replied Hall.

"I just don't think you have it," said Bettencourt, before calling with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Hall held {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for bottom pair. The turn was the {j-Hearts}. "That's going to make it difficult," said Hall. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Hall was eliminated.

More Names in Pavilion

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

The Pavilion section of this tournament might be breaking rapidly, but that doesn't mean big names aren't featured. They include Niall Farrell, who just busted out of the $10,000 Heads-up Championship, Frank Kassela who has swapped mixed games for 6-Max No-Limit, and Sergio Aido who has chipped up considerably since the start of the day and now sits on close to 40,000 in chips.

Sick River Boosts Liberta

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Joseph Liberta raised to 350 on the button and the small blind was the only caller.

The small blind check-called 400 on the {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and the turn was the {4-Hearts}. This time the small blind led for 1,600 and Liberta put his opponent all in for 1,600. His opponent called.

Joseph Liberta: {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
All-in Player: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

"Sick turn," said Liberta, as his opponent counterfeited Liberta's two pair to take the lead. If the turn was sick, the river was even sicker coming {k-Diamonds} to improve Liberta to a full house and eliminate his opponent.
