Capped River Between Vitch and Baxter

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

A pot that initially included Joe Wagganer as well eventually brewed between Chris Vitch and Billy Baxter. Vitch was pat from second draw while Baxter was drawing one till the end.

On the last betting round, Vitch and Baxter placed in the max, capping the pot with a five-bet. Unsurprisingly, both of them showed the wheel with {A-}{2-}{3-}{4-}{5-} in their respective hands.

They split some change from Wagganer and play carried on.

Four bets went in before the draw, and small blind Mike Noori, big blind Johannes Becker and Luis Velador all took a card. Becker bet, Velador raised and all three players went to the next round with Velador pat and the others drawing. They checked to Velador and called again, then drew a final time. They again checked to Velador, and he won the pot without showdown by betting.

"I was 50-50 to make a five," Noori said. "I did not get there."

Monnette Bows Out

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Badugi

John Monnette was all-in after the third draw and Frank Kassela took his time before calling. Monnette opened a ten-dugi but Kassela had him beat with {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

A few exchanges followed as Monnette, Kassela and other players at the table debated whether it was a slowroll or not. What was undisputed was the fact than Monnette was destined to leave for the payouts after busting in 21st place.

Wagner Has a Bite into Simma's Stack

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Michael Wagner raised on the button and Alex Simma three-bet in the small blind. Wagner called.

Simma drew one and Wagner drew two. Simma then bet again and Wagner called.

Simma stood pat on the second draw while Wagner discarded one. Once again, Simma bet and Wagner called.

Wagner patted the last draw as well and bet when Simma checked to him. Simma wasn't pleased to see this scenario but he tossed in calling chips anyway.

Wagner announced nine-five and opened {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} to confirm it. Simma sent his hand into the muck.
