Frye Takes from Zajmovic

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a raise by Ema Zajmovic and a three-bet by Jeffrey Frye, Zajmovic four-bet to 19,000 in order to pick up a call from Frye. Both checked the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and Zajmovic check-called a bet of 22,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn. The {9-Clubs} river paired the board and both players checked.

Zajmovic was first to show, turning over her {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Frye had that beat with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Margets Calls Off Against the Nuts

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

Leo Margets raised from the under the gun position to 2,500 and it folded all the way around to the big blind. They saw the {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop appear and both checked.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked again. The river was the {7-Clubs} and the player in the big blind lead out with a bet of 3,600 this time. Margets called and as soon as her opponent opened up {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} she let out a little chuckle and said "fair enough".

Bleznick Slow Plays Slattery

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After opening from late position, Jared Bleznick called a three-bet worth 10,000 from James Slattery out of the big blind. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Bleznick called a bet of 10,000 to see the {5-Spades} on the turn.

Slattery bet 10,000 again and Bleznick flatted once more.

The {10-Spades} completed the board on the river and Slattery fired one more 10,000 bet. Bleznick raised it up to 50,000 and Slattery called.

Bleznick tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush and Slattery showed the table his {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} as they went in the muck.

Kanit Saves Heaps with a River-Check

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In the cutoff, Mustapha Kanit re-raised to 9,400 after a player in early position opened the action with a 3,000-raise.

Kanit got called and he barrelled the {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board, firing 8,200 on the flop and another 22,000 on the turn. His opponent kept check-calling and he checked the river as well.

Kanit paused for about 30 seconds and then skipped the final barrel, which proved to be a good decision as his opponent turned up {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Kanit dodged a deeper wound and continued with 175,000.

Wang Gets the Best of Gray

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Michael Wang and Jonathan Gray have been battling it out for nearly four levels now but the battle finally came to an end. Wang opened from early position and Gray three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind. Wang put in a four-bet to 27,000 and Gray shoved all in for around 50,000 after some thought. Wang made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Michael Wang: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Jonathan Gray: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Gray held a strong leading before the flop of {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} was spread on the felt. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn meant Wang was left drawing to one of three aces. The dealer burned and turned the {a-Clubs} and Gray was bounced from his seat late on Day 2.

Frustration Sets in for Galfond

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After losing a big pot with aces against pocket fours, Farah Galfond dropped down further in the counts and just called a raise to 3,300 by Daniel Cooke. Brian Altman from one seat over in the hijack made it 12,500 to go and all opponents folded. After the hand was over, Galfond was visibly frustrated on the secondary feature table.

Below are further assorted counts from the feature tables and the Amazon Purple section.
