Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

With the board reading {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and a sizable amount in the pot, Joey Fabre bet 115,000 from the small blind and Eric Hicks called.

Hick tabled {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}, Fabre mucked and Hicks won the pot.

Boujmala Shows One

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After an early open to 20,000, Jake Schwartz three-bet to 54,000 in the next seat. Samy Boujmala made it 110,000 in the next seat, and action folded back to Schwartz, who called. They got to the turn after checking the flop with the board reading {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Schwartz checked and Boujmala bet what looked like 78,000.

Schwartz counted out his stack and folded, and Boujmala showed the {9-Spades}, getting a smile from his opponent.

These players earned $21,750 for their respective showings.

Touil Rockets Up His Stack

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Samuel Touil three-bet an open raise to 75,000 in a battle cutoff versus button and his opponent called to see a flop of {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Action checked to Touil, who continued for 75,000 and was called. On the {K-Hearts} turn, the opponent of Touil check-called a shove for what seemed to be more than 500,000 and tabled pocket fours for a set.

Touil only had {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, but the {A-Hearts} river gave the Frenchman the winning flush.

In the next hand, fellow Frenchman Martial Blangenwitsch sent a short-stack to the rail with ace-jack versus king-queen.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Vecino's Set Takes Ivey Down a Notch

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Juan Vecino opened to 23,000 on the button and Phil Ivey defended his big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Ivey checked to Vecino who also checked. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Ivey led out for 40,000 which Vecino called.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Ivey fired another 100,000. Vecino raised to 265,000 and Ivey went into the tank. After a few minutes, the clock was finally called and Ivey was given 30 seconds to make a decision. As his time was running out, Ivey made the call and Vecino turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a set of threes and scooped the pot.

Greenbaum Doubles with Quads Against Kaplan

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jaime Kaplan opened to 25,000 in the hijack and Jonathan Greenbaum called in the big blind.

The flop landed {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Greenbaum checked to Kaplan who continued for 25,000. Greenbaum check-raised to 61,000 and Kaplan slid out an even 1,000,000.

"Is that a million?" asked Greenbaum.

The dealer confirmed the bet, and Greenbaum announced a call for his 538,000 total.

Greenbaum: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Kaplan: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}

Greenbaum was at risk but in the lead and would need to fade spades. The turn of the {10-Diamonds} changed nothing, and when the river was the {6-Clubs}, Greenbaum improved to quads and doubled to over 1.1 million in chips.

Macdonald Thriving; Le Doubles Through Rasmussen

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On the turn of a heads-up pot between Thomas Macdonald and his opponent on the button, both players invested 80,000 each with the board showing {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Macdonald then checked the {J-Spades} on the river. His opponent checked behind and Macdonald rolled over {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for a full house to claim the pot.

Nghia Le ended up all in and at risk for 301,000 on the {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and Jacob Ramussen looked him up with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for top pair. Le had flopped the nut flush with {A-Spades}{10-Spades} and got the check mark for the double as soon as the {J-Clubs} appeared on the turn. The {2-Diamonds} river was a mere formality.
