Gold Folds and Golanowski Shows a Monster

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

The board showed {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and there was around 7,000 in the pot. It looked as if Cori Golanowski had fired in a bet of 4,200 to Jamie Gold who said "I have the second nuts, oh wait no I don't," and then folded {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} face up.

Golanowski turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for quads, putting a smile on Gold's face as he made the right decision, letting go of his aces.

Ruberto Snatches a Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There were a few limpers in a pot when Tony Ruberto raised it up to 900 and just one of the limpers called. The dealer fanned out {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} on the flop and Ruberto's opponent check-called a bet of 1,000.

A {4-Spades} peeled on the turn and both checked to the {9-Spades} river card. Ruberto pushed in 7,000 and his opponent instantly mucked, moving the chips into Ruberto's stack.

Lombardo Pushes Opponent Off Two Pair

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Picking up the action on the flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, in a four-way pot, three players checked to John Lombardo in the hijack and he bet out 4,100. The big blind made the call and the two players in the middle got out of the way.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and both players checked. The river {3-Diamonds} paired the board, the big blind checked once again and Lombardo fired out 8,000. His opponent went in the tank for roughly three minutes saying "Do you have aces again?" and then "Such a big bet". The big blind eventually found the fold and tabled his {q-}{9-Diamonds} face up.

After Lombardo mucked his cards he said, "I had two pair as well."
