Four Kings Chop It Up

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

In a pot of already more than 30,000 Petar Kalev and Stuart Young went to the turn on a board that read {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}. The turn was the {2-Hearts}. Both players checked tentatively. The river was the {4-Clubs}. Young, who was in early position, checked over to Kalev who put out a bet of 10,300 from the hijack. Young thought it over for about 15 seconds before calling.

Kalev showed the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. "Chop it up" said Young as he revealed his own royalty with the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Both players relaxed and looked amused as they each pulled in their half of the pot.

Farrell Picks One Up

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player bet 2,100 from early position on a {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} board into a pot of 6,000, and Niall Farrell made the call on the button.

Both players quickly checked the {9-Diamonds} river, and Farrell's opponent flipped over {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Farrell had that beat, however, and his {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} was good enough to take down the pot.

Kostritsyn Wins Without a Showdown

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Mike Dentale raised to 900 from under the gun, Alex Kostritsyn called from the button and both blinds called.

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and action checked to Kostritsyn who bet 1,500. The small blind folded, the big blind called and Dentale called.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds}, the small blind led for 5,000, Dentale folded and Kostritsyn called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and the big blind tanked for three minutes before he bet 9,000. Kostritsyn called instantly.

The big blind mucked his hand and Kostritsyn collected the pot without a showdown.

Kings-Up for Burns

On a flop of {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Kahle Burns bet 2,500 and his opponent under the gun check-called.

Both players knuckled through the {k-Clubs} on the turn, and when the river fell the {5-Clubs}, the under the gun player bet 3,300 and Burns called.

After his opponent tabled {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Burns tabled {k-Spades}{j-Spades} to collect the pot.

A Round of Counts from Orange Section

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

"I'll Quit Poker if You had Pocket Nines"

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

An interesting hand was developing at Table 83 in the Brasilia Room between Keith Lehr and Timothy O'Dell. A board of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} laid on the table and the two players began a raising war to see who could represent the fourth ten in the deck.

O'Dell had a bet in front of him and Lehr check-raised to 6,400. O'Dell responded with a three-bet to 12,400 but Lehr stuck in a four-bet to 26,500. O'Dell just called and the {2-Diamonds} completed the board.

Lehr checked this time and O'Dell flicked in a bet of 25,000. Lehr instantly folded and O'Dell claimed the pot.

"I can't beat four tens," Lehr said.

"You could try," one player at the table piped up.

"I had pocket nines," O'Dell chimed in.

"Pocket nines," Lehr laughed sarcastically. "I'll quit poker if you had pocket nines. Maybe ten-nine suited."

The {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} board checked through to the river where the big blind bet 1,600 and Kroon snap-called.

The big blind announced a king, and Kroon revealed his {8-Hearts}{6-Spades} for sixes-full.

Dickerson Eliminates Opponent to Contest for Chiplead

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Geramy Dickerson
Geramy Dickerson

Geramy Dickerson is sat with one of, most likely the biggest stack in the field to date. In an incredible run, Dickerson has amassed more than four times what he started the day with, and players are not long into Level 3.

He eliminated an opponent just now after they got it all in on the turn with {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} on the board. When the cards were turned over, Dickerson needed to hit, holding a two-way draw with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} against his opponent's set of {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The {q-Clubs} river made Broadway for Dickerson and a big pile of chips went his way, whilst his opponent exited early.

Hinkle Ships on the River

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Blair Hinkle was in the big blind and heads-up with an opponent on the button. The flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} was spread across the felt and Hinkle led out for 1,500. His opponent called and the {5-Spades} hit the turn.

Hinkle fired out another bet of 3,700 and his opponent still called to see the {j-Hearts} on the river. Hinkle pushed all in for 8,400 and his opponent thought for a minute but decided to let his hand go.
