"Lucky" Patni Gets a Shove Through

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kunal Patni checked from the big blind on a {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop and an opponent in early position bet 5,500. Patni raised to 15,000 and his opponent called, bringing a {5-Spades}. Patni jammed for around 70,000 and his opponent quickly mucked.

"You are lucky," he said with a smile.

Patni said something we didn't catch and the player who bet the flop said he had {10-}{9-}.

Asi Moshe

Asi Moshe raised from the second position and a player in the hijack three-bet to 20,000 before Bryan Campanello cold-four bet to 75,000 out of the small blind. Moshe moved all in for 138,000 and the next player folded. Campanello called.

Moshe turned up {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and while it would normally be a fair race with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Moshe knew he was in trouble as the hijack announced that he had folded ace-king.

Moshe bricked out on the board of {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and he wished good luck to the table before leaving.

Georgios Sotiropoulos (in a previous event)
Georgios Sotiropoulos (in a previous event)

Georgios Sotiropoulos's Main Event has come to an end in one of the last hands of Level 12. After getting short, Sotiropoulos got it all in with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against Zackary Koerper who held {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the Greek won't be making his second final table of the series, not in this event at least.

"We were both trapping, huh?" said Metaal as Esfandiari showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} against his opponent's {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Esfandiari dodged straight outs to double up.
