Tony Wasaya
Tony Wasaya

Andony Wasaya was all in with a short-stack and up against Casey McCarrel and John Monnette.

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. McCarrel bet on the turn and Monnette called. When McCarrel fired again on the river, Monnette gave a frustrated sigh before folding.

McCarrel showed {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} two pair, queens and sixes, and Wasaya was forced to reveal {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Peter Neff was eliminated on another table to bring the field down to 18 players.

Thorpe Catches Somerville

Level 15 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Mike Thorpe bet from early position and Jason Somerville called. Both players checked the {2-Spades} turn.

The river was the {7-Clubs}, and Somerville led out with a bet. Thorpe grabbed the chips to call and kissed them as if to say goodbye before flinging them into the middle.

"You got it. King-high," Somerville said as he showed {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Thorpe had {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a two pair, aces and sevens.

Eveslage Chipping Up

Level 15 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Chad Eveslage entered the dinner break with one of the shortest stacks in the room, but he's quickly pumped some life into his chips with a pair of quick pots.

After winning a pot versus Ray Dehkharghani, Eveslage three-bet a button raise from Yuri Dzivielevski in the small blind.

Dzivielevski called, but then folded to a bet on a {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.
