Zinno Leads the River

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Anthony Zinno and Brian Rast went heads-up to the turn with the board showing {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Zinno checked and Rast bet from the button.

Zinno called to see the {4-Clubs} fall on the river. This time it was Zinno doing the betting and Rast calling. Zinno turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the rivered flush to take the pot.

A big pot was built at table 448, which has recently seen John Racener and Yuri Dzivielevski battling for the right to claim the biggest stack in the room.

Ray Dehkharghani got mixed up with these two and found himself on the river with a board of {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Dehkharghani and Racener checked to Dzivielevski, who bet.

Both of his opponents gave it some thought but then folded, and the pot was pushed to Dzivielevski, who is the tournament's new chip leader.

Dehkharghani Raises Racener on the River

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}, John Racener bet before Ray Dehkharghani re-raised.

Racener spent a few minutes in the tank studying the board before laying his hand down. Afterward, several of the players at the table said they considered calling the clock on Racener.

Song Goes Runner-Runner to Take From Wang

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

John Monnette raised, Kevin Song called, and Lena Wang re-raised from the cutoff.

Both players called as the flop came {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Action checked to Wang, who put out a bet. Only Song called and the turn came {6-Diamonds}. Again Song check-called a bet.

When the {10-Diamonds} came on the river, Song bet and Wang called. Song showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a rivered flush.

"Runner-runner Kevin," said a tablemate.

John Racener recently added to his growing stack in a pot with Chad Eveslage.

The action picked up on the turn with the board reading {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Racener check-raised Eveslage, who called, and then called a river bet on the {5-Diamonds} as well.

Racener showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the winner and moved his stack close to 600,000, while at an adjacent table, Day 1 chip leader Eric Kurtzman remains healthy with a stack of approximately 500,000.

On a flop of {2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}, Brian Rast bet from the button and Ben Yu, sitting to his immediate left, made the call. Yu again check-called the {4-Hearts} turn.

When the river came {q-Hearts}, Yu checked, Rast bet, Yu raised, and Rast re-raised. Yu put in the chips to call but mucked when Rast turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the rivered flush.

Dehkharghani Spikes the River to Send Wang Home

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Daham Wang got the remainder of his short-stack in the middle pre-flop and was called by Kyle Kitagawa and Ray Dehkharghani.

Kitagawa and Dehkhargani checked to the turn on a board of {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}, when Dehkharghani put out a bet and Kitagawa folded.

Dehkharghani turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a flush draw, while Wang was in the lead with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. The river came a fourth spade, however, to complete Dehkharghani's flush and eliminate Wang.

Racener Races Into the Chip Lead

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

In a recent pot, John Racener bet the turn on a {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board against Christopher Vitch, who folded.

While the pot wasn't huge, it did bring Racener's chip count over that of Day 1 chip leader Eric Kurtzman, giving him the biggest stack in the room with 25 players left.

Wang Takes From Thorpe

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Picking the action up on the {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn, Mike Thorpe led into Lena Wang, who called.

The board paired kings on the river as the {k-Clubs} fell and Thorpe bet out again.

Wang eventually made the call, and Thorpe turned up {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}, which was second-best to Wang's {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

"I almost folded" said Wang as she happily stacked Thorpe's chips.
