James Runs Into Quads

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

It was a seven-way limped pot and the dealer spread the flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The action checked to Kenna James in middle position who bet 2,000. He picked up three callers along the way including Marcus Mizell in the big blind.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Mizell led out with a bet of 4,000 and James raised to 12,000. The other two players folded and Mizell flicked in a 25,000 chip with the hopes of raising. However, due to the one-chip rule, it was deemed just a call and both hands were turned over.

James held {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a full house but it was no match for the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Mizell who made quad sevens.
