Yoon Spikes the River Double

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Brian Yoon
Brian Yoon

Brian Yoon was among two players to call an open raise and then bet the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop for 3,000. He earned one call and Roman Hrabec then check-raised to 10,000. Yoon jammed for 26,400 and the third player folded for Hrabec to snap-call.

Brian Yoon: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Roman Hrabec: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds} turn provided some split opportunities but the {9-Hearts} river instead secured the full double.

Grech Sets One Up

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Zachary Grech
Zachary Grech

Action folded to the button who raised all in for 15,000 and Zachary Grech looked them from the big blind.

Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Zachary Grech: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Grech was way behind until the {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} fell giving him a set of sixes.

The {2-Spades} turn kept Grech ahead, as did the {3-Spades} river and he eliminated his opponent from the Main Event.

Game Over for Snow

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Keegan Westover
Keegan Westover

The cards were already tabled as Ryan Snow ended up at risk before the flop with the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Keegan Westover looked him up with the superior {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} but Snow gained a lot of equity on the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop.

"That's a good start", Snow said. However, there was no help on the {8-Clubs} turn and {10-Spades} river to send Snow to the rail. He had been gaining some spotlight at the tables during Day 1 after sporting large gold chains around the neck which were apparently not made of real gold.

Marshak Makes a Straight

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 22,500 in the pot and {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the board, Cheryl Spencer-Nejtek bet 11,000 from early position. Stuart Marshak raised to 36,000 and Spencer-Nejtek called.

Spencer-Nejtek showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for a pair of kings, but Marshak turned over {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the rivered straight and took a big pot.

Chait Doubles After Cracking His Neighbor's Aces

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Cole Chait was seen getting a pot shipped in his direction after he was all-in and at risk for 88,000 with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} against the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} of Alain Rodriguez on a board that ran out {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Rodriguez was left with crumbs after the hand.

It will likely be an awkward day from here on out for the two players as they are seated directly next to one another.

Nguyen Withstands Pressure

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. From middle position, Minh Nguyen bet 2,400. Anatolii Zyrin raised to 6,400 from the cutoff and Nguyen called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}. Nguyen check-called a bet of 11,500.

The river came the {3-Clubs}. Nguyen checked again and Zyrin shut it down and checked back.

Nguyen tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for ace-high which was good enough as Zyrin mucked his hand, to drop a few more chips as his stack has gone south in the last hour.
