Stephen Song
Stephen Song

At the feature table, Stephen Song raised to 120,000 and Ramon Colillas and Nicholas Rigby both called.

Song bet 140,000 on the {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, Rigby raised to 290,000, Colillas folded, and Song called.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Rigby checked. Song bet 300,000 and Rigby gave it up.

Gonzalez Can't Stay Alive

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
John Gonzalez
John Gonzalez

The action folded to John Gonzalez in the small blind who ripped all in for his last 980,000 chips. Glynn Beebe was in the big blind and called to put Gonzalez at risk.

John Gonzalez: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Glynn Beebe: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The rail started cheering for an eight and wishing for Beebe to lose. However, the board ran out {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Gonzalez was eliminated.

"Go back to the rail," Beebe said to the Gonzalez fans. Some more words were exchanged between the two parties before Gonzalez headed to the payout desk.

Brett Halan: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Joseph Wins and Loses

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jeremy Joseph
Jeremy Joseph

Jeremy Joseph jammed in the small blind to put Cole Ferraro to the test in the big blind. Ferraro thought about it and ultimately decided to risk his 550,000 or so chips.

Cole Ferraro: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Jeremy Joseph: {k-Spades}{2-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to leave Ferraro dead on the turn as he headed to the payout desk.

On the very next hand, Brian Frasca jammed in middle position for about 700,000 chips and Joseph called on the button.

Brian Frasca: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Jeremy Joseph: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Joseph picked up cowboys and looked to be in a likely position to knock out two players in a row. The {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} flop got him closer to that result, but the {a-Diamonds} spiked the turn to put Frasca ahead.

"That works," Frasca said.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board to keep Frasca alive and take the chips Joseph had just picked up.

Four Cowboys Claim Another for Griffeth

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Roongsak Griffeth
Roongsak Griffeth

Jose Vieira Martins was all in preflop for 1,300,000 from the button and Roongsak Griffeth called from middle positon.

Jose Vieira Martins: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Roongsak Griffeth: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Martins was racing for his tournament life and the {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop was a rough one as it gave Griffeth a full house.

The {4-Spades} turn left Martins drawing dead and the {k-Spades} river just added salt to the wound as it improved Griffeth to quad kings yet again.

Turn Raise Does It For Ragozzini

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Picking action up on the {q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} turn, it was Jareth East in the big blind who bet 335,000. Sean Ragozzini spent nearly three minutes in the tank before cutting out a raise to 850,000.

This time, it was East taking a couple of minutes off the clock before folding his hand.

Wieser Eliminated by Zhang

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Maximilian Wieser
Maximilian Wieser

Maximilian Wieser raised to 125,000 and Heng Zhang three-bet to 375,000. Wieser four-bet all-in for 2,410,000 and Zhang called.

Maximilian Wieser: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Heng Zhang: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Wieser's big slick was in bad shape against the aces of Zhang and he was eliminated when he received no help from the runout of {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Wiegmann Doubles Through Arbel

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Cody Wiegmann shoved for 810,000 from the late position and Shai Arbel made the call from the hijack while the rest of the table folded.

Cody Wiegmann: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Shai Arbel: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

"The seven is always coming," Niko Koop commented.

However, the board ran out {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for Wiegmann to flop top pair and hold to double up.

Lewis Eliminated by Imsirovic

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

Over on the right feature table, the chips went in preflop with Toby Lewis as the player at risk out of the small blind for what appeared to be some 1.2 million. Salko Imsirovic looked him up and held the superior pocket pair once the cards were revealed.

Toby Lewis: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Salko Imsirovic: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop changed nothing and the {10-Diamonds} turn gave both players an open-ended straight draw. Another blank followed on the {3-Spades} river and that ended Lewis' run in the Main Event in the last level on Day 5.

Berland Busted by Mcdiarmid

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Zachary Mdiarmid raised to 130,000 from the early position and Michael Berland three-bet shoved from the small blind for his last 320,000 or so. Weston Pring folded his big blind but Mcdiarmid quickly made the call with the bigger stack.

Michael Berland: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Zachary Mcdiarmid: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for Mcdiarmid to stay ahead but for Berland to pick up the gutshot to a straight.

The turn was the {4-Spades} for Berland to pick up even more outs to a straight but the river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} for Berland to cash for the first time in a tournament. And to make it even better, he was visibly happy to have done it here in the Main Event.
