Remitio Gets a Fold from Park

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Joshua Remitio raised to 325,000 from the cutoff and Hye Park called in the small blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, Park check-raised the 325,000 continuation-bet of Remitio to 1,025,000 and was called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Park checked again. Remitio fired a bet of 1,000,000 over the line and Park tanked for a while before making the call.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and Park checked for the final time. Remitio considered his options, cut out chips worth 1,400,000, and then put them on top of his three 1,000,000-chips for a bet of 4,400,000 in total. They had a bit of a staring contest but in the end Remitio won as Park folded.

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos raised it up in middle position and Zachary Mcdiarmid pushed all in for around 1,000,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Kiriopoulos who quickly called.

Zachary Mcdiarmid: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Dumont Finishes Off Campelo

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Breno Campelo
Breno Campelo

Campelo was down to one of the shortest stacks in the tournament but managed to double up once. However, he got the last of his 1,100,000 in the middle with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} but ran square into the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of Nicolas Dumont.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} which provided no help to Campelo. The {2-Hearts} on the turn gave him a flush draw but the {2-Spades} on the river sent Campelo to the payout desk.

Dobric Bursts Into Celebration Once Again

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Matija Dobric raised it up from the cutoff and Joshua Remitio called from the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Remitio check-called a bet from Dobric.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Remitio checked again. Dobric fired another barrel into a pot of 2,500,000 and Remitio check-raised all in. Dobric quickly called off his stack of 2,740,000 and the cards were tabled.

Remitio turned a straight with {8-Hearts}{7-Spades} but Dobric was live with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. The dealer paused before delivering the {6-Hearts} on the river. It was a delayed reaction but Dobric burst into a frenzy with his rail as he doubled up once again. Remitio graciously passed over the chips and congratulated Dobric on the nice hand.

Lococo Rises; Dwek Drops

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Norbert Koh in the big blind and Jonathan Dwek in an early position, the former checked the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} turn and Dwek bet 1.1 million. Koh then check-raised to 2.4 million and that won the pot right there.

One hand later, Dwek raised to 325,000 and Alejandro Lococo called, as did Joshua Field in the small blind. The {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop was checked to Lococo and his bet worth 435,000 was called only by Field. After the {8-Diamonds} turn, Field check-called for another 1,020,000 and the {6-Spades} on the river was checked.

Field tabled the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the top pair but Lococo had that beat with {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a set of fours.
