Hall Keeps Climbing, Takes Monster Off Guo

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Galen Hall
Galen Hall

2-7 Triple Draw

On the first draw, Yuebin Guo bet, Galen Hall raised, Lylan Do called, and Guo put in a three-bet.

Both opponents called and took one, while Guo stood pat and bet again. A raise by Hall was enough to get rid of Do, but Guo stuck around as both players stood pat.

Hall bet out again and Guo went into the tank for about a minute before throwing his chips toward Hall, acknowledging he was probably beat.

His instincts were correct. Hall showed a 7-6-5 low and Guo mucked his hand.

At the same table, former November Niner Jerry Wong has built up a big stack of more than 300,000.

Negreanu Wins Blind Versus Blind Battle

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Action folded to David Funkhouser in the small blind who raised. Daniel Negreanu called and both players took one.

Funkhouser checked to Negreanu, then called a bet. Negreanu stood pat on the next two draws while Funkhouser took one each time.

Negreanu bet after the second draw and both players checked the third draw. Negreanu turned over {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a Badugi and Funkhouser mucked.

"Cancel My Taxi!"

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Lylan Do raised from the button and Mo Fathipour committed his last 11,500 from the big blind. Do tossed in the chips to call and action was heads up with Fathipour at risk.

Both players drew two on the first draw and one on each of the second and third draws. The dealer motioned for the players to turn their cards up for the last draw.

Mo Fathipour: {8-}{7-}{6-}{2-} / {x-}
Lylan Do: {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} / {x-}

Fathipour turned over a {3-} and Do flipped a {5-} to make a pair.

"Cancel my taxi!" Fathipour announced as he dragged the double with the number 14.

Kassela Makes "Ugly" Nine to Bust Moore

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Evan Moore was all in on the second draw and up against Frank Kassela and Daniel Strelitz.

"Against an all-in player and a guy drawing dead," Kassela said before betting into Strelitz after the third draw. Strelitz quickly folded and Kassela showed a 9-8 low.

"A dirty, ugly nine," Kassela said, but it was enough to win the pot as Moore mucked and made his way to the exit.

Chan Finishes Off Glaser

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Heads-up to the first draw, Benny Glaser stood pat while Ian Chan drew one. Glaser bet, Chan raised, Glaser went all in, and Chan called for the rest.

Chan stood pat on the second draw and Glaser gave the decision some thought before taking two. He took one more on the third draw but finished with a pair of fours as Chan made {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to win the pot and eliminate the four-time bracelet winner.
