Goyal Busts Deeb

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Shaun Deeb was all in preflop on the button for a remaning stack worth less than 4,000 and facing the big blind and Tarun Goyal in the cutoff who were playing the side pot.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the two active players checked to go see a {5-Spades} on the turn. The big blind led out for 6,000 and Goyal called.

The river fell the {k-Clubs} and the big blind checked to Goyal who bet 16,000, putting him into a decision. After some time, the big blind called with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for the flush but only to see {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for the full house. Deeb, who held {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for the lower flush, made his way to the exit while Goyal scooped the pot.

Allen Pots River

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action started when the hijack opened to 3,500. Both Lytle Allen and Matt Waxman called from the blinds.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and all players checked. On the {3-Hearts} turn Allen bet out 10,000. Waxman folded and the hijack made the call.

The {4-Spades} completed the board and Allen jammed his stack in the middle. The bet could only be pot which was 35,000, leaving him with only 1,500 back. His opponent tanked for awhile but eventually let his hand go and the pot was shipped to Allen.

Harder Takes a Seat and Triples Up

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Christian Harder
Christian Harder

In a four-way raised pot, the flop showed {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} when Christian Harder checked from the small blind, followed by his three opponents.

The turn fell the {10-Clubs} and Harder checked again. The big blind bet 11,000 and the hijack called while the third player got out of the way. Harder considered it for some time before calling.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Harder shoved for 28,500. The big blind folded and the hijack tanked for two minutes before sending a chip for the call.

Harder tabled {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} for straight and his opponent mucked his hand. Harder, who late registered this event, has now more than tripled his starting stack.

Stockfish More than Doubles Up

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a three-way raised pot, the flop showed {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} when all the chips went in the middle between Jason Stockfish, at risk for his last 31,000, and his opponent who made the call while the third player got out of the way.

Jason Stockfish: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Stockfish had a flush and a straight draw while his opponent held a set of kings, and hit one of the outs he needed on the {8-Diamonds} turn. The {j-Clubs} completed the board and Stockfish took down the pot.

Zable Takes from Kassela

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Frank Kassela
Frank Kassela

Frank Kassela limped in the cutoff and it was called by the small blind while John Zable checked his option in the big blind.

The flop gave {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} and it checked to Zable who bet 2,500. Only Kassela made the call. The turn was the {j-Spades} and brought no betting action.

When the {10-Diamonds} came on the river, Zable bet 3,000 and Kassela ended up calling. Zable revealed {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the flush and Kassela only showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for trips, and tossed his hand into the muck.

Manzano Pot-Bet Bears Fruit

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 85,000 in the middle on a double paired board turn of {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} the small blind bet 40,000. Alejandro Manzano bet the pot which would be enough to put the small blind all in.

The small blind sighed and said "I think I could be good" and threw his cards into the muck. The Spaniard Manzano is now one of the big stacks in the room.
