Weisman Chips Up (Without) Showdown

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot just before the break, the board showed {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}. There were some 22,600 in the middle and Dylan Weisman made what appeared to be a pot-sized bet against Michael Zhan that eventually got through.

Weisman was "feeling bad" according to the table chat to not show any of the cards and eventually revealed the {q-Spades} before raking in the pot with a big smile on the face.

Morris Takes It With a Flop Raise

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Sasha Liu limped from under the gun once more and Arthur Morris raised to 1,000, which was called four ways as Christian Heich, the small blind and Luis Velador as well as Liu all came along. The {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop was checked to Liu and she bet 3,000.

Morris then raised it up to 13,000 and all opponents including Liu folded.

Kurtzman Sends a Player to the Rail

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Eric Kurtzman
Eric Kurtzman

After a series of pot-sized raises went into the middle before the flop, leading to a 50,000 plus chip pot, Eric Kurtzman called a bet for his opponent's last 4,000 or so on a {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop.

Opponent: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Eric Kurtzman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out with the {9-Spades} and {8-Diamonds}, and Kurtzman's king-high straight bested his opponent's nine-high straight to win the healthy pot and boost his stack toward the 100,000 mark.

Mahmood Takes From McCormick

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Heads-up to the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} turn, Ayaz Mahmood bet for what appeared to be 8,600 and was called by Tom McCormick, who tossed in two T-5,000 chips for the call. Mahmood bet again on the {j-Clubs} river for 5,000 and McCormick eventually folded to get shown the {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

"That's good," McCormick said as he mentioned to have let go of {k-}{10-}{9-}{7-} after missing all straight outs.

Flop Bet Wins It for Capitan

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Plenty of "semi-retired" poker players have admitted to no longer play full time but it appears that this very event is attracting many who have a preference for Pot-Limit Omaha. One of them happens to be Bogdan Capitan, who is now studying and researching at the university in Vienna and he was spotted with a preflop three-bet to 4,000.

His sole remaining opponent called and the flop came {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}. The action checked to Capitan and he bet 4,000 to win the pot right there.
