One for Gavin

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a three-way pot, the flop read {j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades} and all checked to see a {2-Clubs} on the turn. Andrei Stoenescu checked to Gavin who bet 6,000 this time and only Fredrico Senno made the call in the cutoff.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Lexy bet another 6,000, which Sanno called but only to muck his cards when Gavin revealed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Padraig O'Neill
Padraig O'Neill

In a battle of the blinds, Martins Adeniya raised to 9,500 and Padraig O'Neill three-bet to 22,000. The action moved back to Adeniya, who tanked for a while. It even took so long that another player called the clock on him but Adeniya jammed for around the starting stack before the thirty seconds ran down with O'Neill calling instantly.

Martins Adeniya: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Padraig O'Neill: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} board delivered no help to Adeniya and he was sent to the rail.

Tran led for 10,000 and Moncek quickly called.

Tran revealed {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} pocket jacks and Moneck mucked.

Moncek holds one WSOP bracelet while Tran has two and they are likely to clash a lot today sitting right next to each other.

Hands Flops Quads to Stay Alive

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

John Hands started the day with less than 10 big blinds in his stack and got them in within minutes of the resumption of play holding {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. However, he was up against the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Eric Stone.

There was a ten in the window, but it was followed by a queen. However the full flop read {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades} giving Hands quads. There was no one-outer for Stone on the {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} runout and Hands doubled up.

"It was crazy how you saw the ten first," commented a tablemate. "Then the queen and then the final ten!"

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action was picked up on the river on a board reading {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The pot was about 63,000 and Vyacheslav Stoyanov made an overbet of 100,000 from the big blind. Andrew Barfield clicked it back to 200,000 from early position.

Stoyanov thought for several moments before he laid down his hand and Barfield took an early nice pot.

Smith Scores Early Knockout

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jorge Deoliveiralopez moved all in from under the gun for 27,000. Elliot Smith, in the hijack, made the call with Deoliveiralopez covered, while the rest of the table got out of the way.

Jorge Deoliveiralopez: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Elliot Smith: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The two were flipping, but Smith quickly took a commanding lead when he made a set on the {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop, leaving Deoliveiralopez drawing thin. When the {5-Clubs} turn gave Smith a full house, Deoliveiralopez was left drawing dead. The {j-Clubs} on the river completed the board, and Smith scooped the pot and scored the early knockout.
