Mermelstein and Livshitz With Large Stacks; Kenney Short Near the Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Gabi Livshitz and Aaron Mermelstein appear to be the current big stacks in the main tournament area at Bally's with the latter claiming a huge pot with king-nine for flopped trips nines against a large stack holding {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for queens up.

Bryn Kenney also had a big stack two seats over from Livshitz but suffered a severe setback. On a board of {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, an already big pot emerged and James Anderson then got it in for 232,000. Kenney had jammed and was called to get shown the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for eights full, sending his cards with a long sigh right into the muck.

Holmes Busts Before the Money

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
George Holmes
George Holmes

On a side feature table, George Holmes was all in and at risk preflop with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and was up against an opponent's {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Both players paired their ace on the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} flop but last year's Main Event runner up was still behind. He was then drawing dead on the {k-Clubs} turn and the river was just a formality.

Duek Jams Into Graells

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Four ways to the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, all of them invested the minimum for 6,000 and the {k-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Michael Duek in the big blind now bet 45,000 and Ricardo Graells reluctantly called in the cutoff.

What followed was the {2-Spades} on the river on which Duek near instantly jammed. Graells went deep into the tank and folded after three minutes. "You tell me tonight? If you bluffed me, nice hand," the Swissman mentioned in table chat while Duek raked in the pot without any comment.

Luke Vrabel, who is @slayAbidesDOTL on Twitter, has his table in stitches.

He was explaining how he charges $10 a year for people to follow his account for his legendary content.

"If you're not a professional you can follow me," he said to a tablemate. "There are those guys who just like everything but don't follow."

"You're the worst," said Conrad Simpson who was one table over laughing hysterically.

"We gotta get you back on the team," quipped Vrabel.

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A player opened to 15,000 and it folded to Nick Yunis in the big blind who thought about his move for some time and opted to shove for 119,000.

"I have a king" said his opponent jokingly before tanking for some time. He ended up folding and Yunis revealed he held {9-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Salas Takes It Without Showdown

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Damian Salas
Damian Salas

Damian Salas opened from under the gun for 12,000. Action folded all the way around to the big blind, who put in the call.

The pair checked through the {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop leading to the {7-Hearts} turn. The big blind took the initiative on this street, firing for 14,000. Salas thought for a minute or so before putting in a call with a good deal of hesitation.

On the {j-Spades} river, the big blind checked to Salas, who fired 44,000 into the middle, sending his opponent into the tank for several minutes. He eventually folded, tossing his cards haphazardly towards the dealer, where they landed face up, exposing {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for two pair. Salas gently pushed his cards into the muck, scooping the pot without a showdown.
