More Assorted Pre Bubble Stacks

Level 15
Mike Gorodinsky
Mike Gorodinsky

Chad Eveslage increased the aggression even further while Mike Gorodinsky dropped into the danger zone. The latter then three-bet the pot in Big O and initial raiser John Hennigan folded. Soon after, the game variant checked and Gorodinsky took on Eveslage.

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Mike Gorodinsky: 1075 / A268
Chad Eveslage: A7 / Q62KQ

Gorodinsky bet the superior board until sixth street before they checked seventh. Eveslage showed a pair of queens for the high pot while Gorodinsky had the low. Table talk revealed that Eveslage had caught the second queen as final card.

"You could have scooped with a three, four or five," they added.

Bach Escapes From Elimination

Level 15

Badeucey

Prior to the final draw, David Bach was all-in for the last 12,000 with most of the chips already in the middle. He was up against Paul Volpe and both players tabled their cards.

David Bach: 8753
Paul Volpe: 7652

Volpe was ahead with the superior Badugi and peeled the A as final card. Bach needed a king or better that wouldn't pair him up to survive and did so with the 6 as they chopped it up.

Rolled Up Jacks Turns Into Quads for Ryynanen

Level 15
Sampo Ryynanen
Sampo Ryynanen

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Sampo Ryynanen: JJ / J949 / J
Ryan Goindoo: 87 / 66Q6 / 10

Picking up the action on fourth street, Ryan Goindoo bet and called a raise from Sampo Ryynanen. Goindoo called another bet on fifth street and then bet when Ryynanen check-raised on sixth street.

Ryynanen bet on seventh street and Goindoo called as Ryynanen revealed he had rolled up jacks turned into a full house and miraculously improved to quads at the end to crush his opponent's open sixes.

Sadly, Goindoo made a low and they split up the pot.

Ryynanen Beats Goindoo in Showdown

Level 15

Seven Card Stud

Sampo Ryynanen: AK / K92J / 9
Ryan Goindoo: XxXx / 3J72 / Xx

Ryan Goindoo bet from fifth to seventh and was called down by Sampo Ryynanen, who came along very reluctantly on the final street while enjoying a massage. He then announced two pair and showed his kings and nines.

Goindoo mucked and clarified he had also made two pair on the river.

"Why didn't you kill him?" Goindoo joked to Paul Volpe, who replied "I tried".

David Bach is the new short stack, who lost two pots in this variant.

Sampo Ryynanen: J6Xx/6K510

"I don't have much," Volpe said before revealing a pair of deuces.

Ryynanen had a better pair and locked up the double after seventh street.

Yu Doubles; Bohlman Chops

Level 15

Seven Card Stud

Ben Yu: AA / K59J / 5
Ray Henson: 7710Q382

Ben Yu was all-in with a short stack and remained ahead all the way, ending the hand with aces and fives. Ray Henson already meshed his board as his pair of seconds came up second-best.

Stud 8 or Better

Zack Freeman: XxXx / 7K folded on fourth
Scott Bohlman: A83 / 26Q6
James Obst: 543 / 578A

Zack Freeman folded on fourth when James Obst bet while Scott Bohlman stuck around. He called down bets by Obst until sixth, when he paired the open six and check-called. Bohlman also check-called seventh with very few chips behind and earned the high pot with his pair of sixes while Obst had the superior low.

Level 15
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Pot-Limit Omaha

In what ended up being the biggest pot of the tournament so far, Anthony Zinno raised to 14,000 and Ryan Goindoo potted before Zinno called.

Goindoo bet 100,000 on the 9103 flop and Zinno raised all in for 302,000. Goindoo called with a bigger stack.

Anthony Zinno: 8763
Ryan Goindoo: KQJ10

Both players had wraps but Goindoo had the better end of it in addition to top pair. The board finished out 10J to improve Goindoo to a full house and the four-time bracelet winner hit the rail as Goindoo took a massive chip lead with the money bubble looming.

Patrick Leonard: XxXx / 8x6x5x7x / Xx

Picking up the action on fifth street, Patrick Leonard bet and Zack Freeman called. The same action repeated on sixth before Leonard then faced a bet on seventh. He mulled it over for nearly two minutes while talking through some possible combos before paying off.

More for Dirksen and Eveslage

Level 15

Much to the surprise of nobody at the table, Chad Eveslage scooped a Badeucey hand against Robert Mizrachi when his 7 / 8632 for an eight-eight was good in showdown.

Big O

One table over, the flop showed AQ4 and Dustin Dirksen bet 30,000, which Ray Henson check-called. On the K turn, Henson checked again and Dirksen bet the pot for 99,000. That sent his opponent into a brief tank and Henson then folded.
While raking in the pot, Dirksen bemoaned that he should have bet less.
