Ashner Turns Hand Around

On a flop of J♥8♠6♥ and facing a 7,000 bet from a player in early position, Tim Ashner called from the hijack. The small blind then went all in for 39,500. The player in early position folded. Ashner then began to think. He cut out the amount of the call, then added it back to his stack. After a minute or two, another player at the table called for the clock. Ashner then said "No, it's okay, I call."

Small blind: A♥5♥
Tim Ashner: K♥9♥

Ashner's flush draw was far behind, but he suddenly went ahead with the 9♠ on the turn. A 4♠ on the river gave Ashner the pot and eliminated his opponent.

On a run out of 5♠8♥A♣6♦5♥ Pete Chen on the big blind decided to shove all of his chips in for 26,000. The pot held 20,000 and the middle position player took some time before mucking.

Chen showed Ax8x and raked in a decent pot before heading to the break.

In a battle between two middle position players, the first player raised for 50,000 which was all of his chips and Jason James beside him called for his remaining stack of 20,000.

The board went well for James as 7♠9♠J♠9♥K♣ gave pocket sixes the best hand.

Chad Wassmuth pushed all of his stack 14,000 in preflop in middle position and was called by the player to his left and Woody Rivero on the button.

The flop came 4♣3♠6♣ and the middle position player checked and Rivero shoved all of his chips in for 45,000. The middle position player called and we headed to the turn.

Middle position player: A♥Q♣
Chad Wassmuth: J♦J♣
Woody Rivero: 7♦7♣

Wassmuth was ahead of the game and the turn came 3♥ and the river sealed the deal J♠

Rivero won a decent side pot.

Action started preflop with Matt Kursar raising to 2,300 from early position. Three players called as they headed to a flop.

The board ran Q♦5♦K♥ as the small and big blind checked. Kursar put out a continuation bet of 6,000 getting one caller to the turn.

A few straight draws were completed, as the J♣ peeled off on the turn. After his opponent checked, Kursar showed no fear having jammed all in for 27,400. His opponent quickly folded leaving him to collect the pot.
